Olivia walked through the halls of the castle. Yesterday, when she had seen Harry, Hermione and Ron rushing through the halls, she had told herself she would ask them what it was all about at a later time. Little did she know that by the next morning, the whole school would already know. She was surprised and impressed at the same time to know that the three had managed to make sense of the whole Nicholas Flamel and the Philosopher's Stone mystery. However, now, she found herself quite worried for Harry who had spent the last day in the Hospital Wing because of everything that went on in the dungeons.
She had already gone to visit him along with Ron and Hermione, but since he wasn't awake at the time, she thought she'd try again today before the feast. And soon she realized she might be in luck as her ears picked up on a conversation going on in the Hospital Wing. As she walked through the open doors, she could see Professor Dumbledore, admiring all of the sweets and gifts Harry had received, while in front of him, Harry was finally sitting up in his bed, smiling in amusement as he watched the Headmaster.
"Ah, Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans. I was most unfortunate in my youth to come across a vomit flavoured one, and since then, I've lost my liking for them. But I think I could be safe with a nice toffee." Professor Dumbledore spoke curiously as he picked a bean from the already open box and popped it into his mouth. "Alas, earwax." He finally stated, and both Harry and Olivia couldn't hold back a small laugh at that.
"Perhaps a Chocolate Frog could help with the taste Professor." Olivia suggested as she approached the two, finally making her presence known to them. Harry's eyes jumped to the Hufflepuff, and a smile appeared on his face.
"Oh that's alright, Miss Hawthorne, I'm sure Harry would like those much more than I. I will leave you two to catch up." The Headmaster said with a smile on his face, and just like that turned and walked towards the exit and back out into the hall. Now alone, Olivia turned to look at Harry, a happy smile coming over her as she noticed he looked quite well; much better than he had yesterday.
"I'm glad to see you're awake." She said happily, moving over to stand by the side of his bed as she set down the small bag, full of Chocolate Frogs she had brought with her. "I tried to make Ron stop eating yours, but you know how he can get, so I brought you more." She explained as she set them on the table by the window.
She had made sure to ask Gwen to bring her some when the third years went on their last Hogsmeade trip. Even though Fred and George seemed quite eager to get the sweets themselves. But thinking about it, they seemed a bit too eager, and she knew nobody wanted to open a Chocolate Frog and have it explode in their faces. As a small silence came upon them, Harry quickly spoke up.
"Liv, I'm sorry we didn't include you-" He tried to apologize. After all, she had helped them make a lot of progress in finding out the truth about the Philosopher's Stone, but then when they had all the information, nobody had shared it with her or asked whether she'd want to come with them. Of course, at the time he thought he wouldn't want her to get in trouble with them should something happen, but now that she was here Harry also felt slightly bad for excluding her from it all. However, he was quickly interrupted as she caught on to what he was trying to say.
