"Oh and when we get our drinks you can tell me all about how you use... Oh what is the name of the thing Molly? It is something along the lines of a small wave; a mini-wave?" Mr Weasley rambled on sometime later as the three families reunited in front of Gringotts, back on the white marble stairs by which they had met up in the first place. Hermione and Olivia did their best to hold their laughter as they listened to the patron of the Weasley family talk to their parents, excited by their acceptance of getting a drink with Arthur at the Leaky Cauldron.
"Do you mean a microwave?" Ted couldn't control himself, and neither could Olivia once her eyes took in her father's face, and a small chuckle slipped past their lips as the older Hawthorne asked Arthur with an amused smile. The ginger haired man quickly nodded his head, happy that despite his mistake Ted had still understood what he meant. "Well I suppose we could, but only if you explain this whole Floo Powder thing to me as well?"
"Of course, of course. We have so much to talk about!" Arthur exclaimed happily and motioned for the three adults to follow after him. Molly had already left with Ginny, claiming to be heading to a second hand robe shop, and of course her parting words were warnings to Fred and George not to do anything stupid or get in trouble. Everyone suspected they wouldn't really listen.
"Are you sure you'll be okay on your own?" Before he followed after Arthur and the Grangers, Ted made sure to turn to his daughter as he questioned, feeling slightly uneasy with the thought of leaving her alone in the crowded street. However, Liv sent him a wide and confident smile as she nodded her head in reply. "And you're sure you'll be able to find the bookshop?"
"Don't worry Mr Hawthorne, she'll be with us; we know our way around." Fred reassured Olivia's father, his arm swinging around her shoulder as he smiled brightly. However, from the way their mother acted when leaving the twins on their own made Ted wonder whether this was as great of a thing as Fred made it seem.
"And even if she wasn't, it's Olivia, she can find a bookstore wherever she ends up." Another voice joined the conversation making the twins and Hawthornes turn to look at the approaching family of five. Oliver was quickly jumped by his two best friends in greeting while Gwen made her way to hug Olivia in greeting.
"Oh I'm so happy to see you. I've missed you." Olivia said in an excited tone, hugging Gwen tightly as soon as the older girl had reached her. Once the two pulled away, Liv quickly turned to her father, ready to introduce him to more of her friends. "Dad, this is Gwen and her brother Oliver."
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mr Hawthorne." Gwen spoke in a polite tone while Oliver shook his hand after forcing Fred and George to release him from their hold. "These are our parents, Nicholas, Henry and Nadia." Gwen continued to introduce the rest of their party. Liv looked towards them and quickly remembered seeing the face of Gwen's mum on Harry's Chocolate Frog Card last year.
However, the dark haired woman seemed to be unfocused, her attention drawn elsewhere. Nadia's bright eyes were trained on the group of twelve year olds standing behind Gwen and Olivia, unable to tear away as she watched one of them give out a small laugh at something that had been said. A laugh and a smile which seemed so familiar and yet so different in her eyes.
