She hadn't even properly stepped foot through the door of the Burrow. Her suitcase had barely been dropped off in Ginny's room. And while she had said hello to the majority of the Weasley family, Olivia was still, almost instantly, dragged away by the twins and their best friend.
Now finding herself sitting on Fred's bed in the twin's room, Olivia couldn't keep the questioning look of her face as she looked towards each of the three boys. She had not yet received any explanation for their highly excited and eager behaviour. And that was something she was really interested in.
"Would someone please explain what's going on?" She questioned in a curious voice, her eyes looking towards Fred as he seemed to dig through one of the large boxes stored away in the corner of the room.
"Olivia Hawthorne, will you accept the honour of helping us test one of our newly created products?" Oliver asked theatrically, almost jumping in his seat on George's bed. While he hadn't really been here for the creation of the final prototype, he and the twins exchanged thousands of letters as they planned on perfecting it and making their idea a reality.
"No!" Olivia's reply was as quick as lightning. She was not willing to be the test bunny for whatever kind of new exploding, puking, gooey or slimy product they had created. Nope. She liked her face as it was, she liked her insides where they belonged, and she had taken a shower before arriving, she liked being clean too.
"Oh come on Liv, you know we wouldn't make you try something bad." Fred tried to reassure her once he finally dug out the medium sized box he had been searching for. Making his way back to the bed, he watched as her face took on a firm expression.
"Still... You say you're testing it out, which means something could still go wrong." She pointed out. While she did believe they might not make something explode in her face on purpose, she was still weary of something exploding in her face by accident.
"Well we did try it on ourselves, but we don't really have much to work with. And it's not really our style." George reassured, but his vague explanation only made Liv's brows furrow in confusion. What could she have that they didn't?
"Olivia, we present to you the Colour Comb." Fred announced, his tone proud as he pulled the seemingly normal hair brush out of its box. Seeing the raised eyebrow, he was quick to add. "Working title."
"Now it's just the initial version, we plan on adding much more to it. But for now, brushing this comb through your hair would dye certain parts of it whichever colour you want." George explained the goal of the product. As she listened, taking the brush from Fred's hands, Olivia couldn't deny that it sounded really interesting. And definitely something she wanted to do to her hair.
"As we said, Fred and George tried it themselves. Sadly I forgot the picture of George with green strands all over his head mixing with the reds, but that's because someone went back on their promise to keep it in for the rest of the summer." Oliver sent George a disapproving look.
