Olivia munched away on the buttered toast in her hand while reading her Defence Against the Dark Arts book, wanting to learn as much about Boggarts as she could before the start of today's lesson. She wanted to be prepared, knowing that Boggarts were tricky based on what professor Lupin had taught them so far. Although, it did give her some peace of mind knowing that they could back out at any point, he wouldn't force them to face the Boggart if they didn't want to.
"Oh, look at the studious Hufflepuff, showing all of her appreciation for the beauty that is this year's Defence Against the Dark Arts class." A voice, sounding almost weepy with pride, caught Olivia's attention, making her eyes look up from the page she was on and towards the red headed boy who was currently sticking his tongue out at his sister who's rolled her eyes at his dramatic behaviour. "What's that for?! Is DADA not brilliant this year?"
"I never said it wasn't brilliant, but the fact is you've been walking around school ever since the start of the semester as if you were an ad for Uncle Remus." Gwen pointed out, a knowing look in her eyes that dared Oliver to try and deny the truth she'd just stated.
"Well, if I recall correctly, you wanted to find Liv before your History of Magic class because you too wish to be an ad for our Uncle." Oliver retorted back, matching the look Gwen gave him perfectly. While the two weren't genetically related, sometimes Liv could definitely see they'd grown up together, especially when they managed to look so similar with just one look.
"I'm not here to be an ad, I'm here to offer Liv a chance to learn some extra stuff she won't be covering in class, and that will help her protect herself." Gwen stated in protest, their conversation going on as if Olivia wasn't there, making the younger Hufflepuff finally interject into their conversation.
"And why is it that Olivia needs protection?" She really wanted to know at least that detail. It did sound most important.
"Well, it's not certain you'll need it, but our mother asked Uncle Remus to give us lessons on the Patronus charm. It can be used in case a Dementor tries to attack you. And I thought you might want to learn it too?" Gwen offered, finally bringing up why she'd come back to the Great Hall even though she'd already eaten breakfast.
"Really useful stuff. With so many of them roaming around, you never know when one might get a bit peckish." Oliver said in a teasing voice, this time making both girls glare his way, however, he simply ignored them and continued on. "So, what do you say Liv, want to learn how to kick some Dementor arse?"
"Well, I doubt we'll need it. I mean, Dumbledore said they won't be going after students again. But it does sound fun to learn something more." Olivia pondered the offer shortly.
"Uncle Remus said it's perfectly alright if you want to join us, I think he even prefers having more students. And he'd be teaching us on the weekends, of course, not interfering with our Hogsmeade trips." Gwen stated more, hoping to convince her friend. It was true, each one of them hoped they wouldn't actually have to use what they'd learn, but Gwen wanted to be sure Liv too could protect herself from a Dementor should the need ever arise.
