Lelie brushed her hand against the back of her neck, wiping away the sweat. Her outfit, a long white-blue dress, was unbearably hot. But she didn't have many other options that wouldn't give away her secret. After all her master, Ansem the Wise, all but forbid her to travel to the town alone. But she never really liked rules.

"Lelie are you listening to me?" a voice snapped her out of her little daydream. Even.

"Sorry, Even," Lelie apologized.

Even sighed. "Just focus please. I don't like repeating myself."

"Sure, whatever," Lelie groaned. Even sniffed, but didn't lecture her. Again.

Beside Lelie, little Ienzo had his nose buried in a large book. She hardly ever saw the kid without one. And unlike her, Ienzo loved Even's lessons. Lelie just saw them as a waste of time. She didn't want to become a researcher and scientist like the Even and her Master, she wanted to become people like Dilan and Aeleus. She wanted to protect others and fight. And ever since she first been able to summon a strange weapon, the one Master Ansem called a 'Keyblade,' she had become even more determined. But Master Ansem would only let her learn basic defense. She wanted to do so much more...

"Lelie!" Even suddenly burst. Lelie jumped. Even sighed. "Why don't you go to your room? I'll get you for dinner."

Lelie wanted to grin, but she pulled a frown onto her face. "Okay, Even."

She practically skipped to her room.

====Time Skip====

After waiting for a few minutes in her room, making sure no one was coming to check on her, Lelie slipped out of her dress and pulled on normal tight jeans with a mini skirt. She also grabbed a regular t-shirt. She always wanted to look as normal as possible, so just in case someone in town saw her, they wouldn't gossip about a girl in fancy clothes. The rumor might pass on to Dilan and Aeleus, and they'd report to her Master.

"Going somewhere?" a voice asked. Lelie jumped and turned to see her extra-secret friend.

"Couldn't you tell me when you've entered the room, Vanitas?" Lelie groaned.

Vanitas pulled off his helmet and grinned. "You should be able to hear me," he told her.

Lelie sniffed. "Not all people have as sharp hearing as you do."

"Maybe. Perhaps gaining a Keyblade has dulled your senses," Vanitas walked over to her. Lelie rolled her eyes and examined the boy. He had dark hair, almost as dark as her's, pale skin, and glowing amber eyes. He wore his full red-black bodysuit. A little bit of sweat glistened on his forehead.

"So, who did you terrorize now?" Lelie asked, crossing her arms. Vanitas blinked, surprised. He often ranted to her about his own master and his plans.

"No one," Vanitas growled, though the answer was written on his face.

"C'mon Van, I know you did something," Lelie pressed, planting her hands on her hips.

"It's nothing that you should be concerned about," Vanitas insisted.

"Really. So I shouldn't be worried about all the people in town with your little monsters running around?"

Vanitas's pale skin paled further. "How do you-? Have you been going to town again?!"

"I was going to go now! But then you showed up!" Lelie exclaimed.
