Sora, Donald, Goofy, Violet

=========

The group walked through the Dark Corridor. Colors and Nobody symbols flashed before their eyes.

"Violet, did you bring Chester?" Sora asked.

"N-n-no, I left h-him back on the G-Gummi Sh-Ship. W-why?" Violet responded, stuttering.

"Oh, I just thought it could help us find out which way to go," Sora said.

"Speaking of which, which way do we go?" Donald asked, looking around the empty space.

Sora cupped his hands around his mouth. "Riku! Kairi! Rue!" Only silence greeted him.

Suddenly, Dusks popped up all around them. The group summoned their weapons and attacked the Dusks.

"W-where are they all c-c-coming from?!" Violet yelled angrily.

"It's no use!" Sora muttered, shaking his head.

"Don't stop moving, or the darkness will overtake you!" a voice warned. A certain red-haired Nobody jumped in front of the group and killed some of the Dusks. "Get goin'!" Axel ordered.

"Why?" Sora spat.

"Don't ask. Just do it!" Axel countered. Dusks pounced on him, tackling him to the ground. Rue fired her gun three times, and the Dusks disappeared.

Sora ran over to Axel. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Axel looked at the Keyblade-Wielder. "I kidnapped Kairi, but she got away from me. After that, Saix and Lelie caught her. Saix is a member of Organization XIII. Saix. Got it memorized? Now go save her!"

Sora nodded and stood up. "Leave us alone!" he yelled at the Dusks.

====(small) Time Skip====

The group and Axel fought the Dusks, Sora and Axel ended up back-to-back while the Dusks surrounded them.

"I think I liked it better when they were on my side," Axel said, panting.

"Feeling a little...regret?" Sora asked, raising an eyebrow.

Axel grinned. "Nah...I can handle these punks. Watch this!" He jumped forward and raised his arms. Flames rose in the air around him. He shouted as the flames exploded into a fiery inferno. There was a blinding light.

When Sora was able to see again, all the Dusks were gone. Axel was on the ground, fading.

"Cool..." Violet breathed.

Sora and Violet ran to Axel. "You're...fading away..." Sora said sadly.

"Well, that's what happens when you put your entire being into an attack," Axel said softly. "You know what I mean? Not that Nobodies actually HAVE beings...right? Anyway, I digress. Go, find Kairi."

"But...Axel..." Violet said sadly.

"Oh, almost forgot..." Axel said quietly. "Sorry for what I did to her."

"When we find her, you can tell her that yourself," Sora promised.

Axel gave a breathy chuckled. "Think I'll pass. My heart just wouldn't be in it, you know? Haven't got one." He laughed again.

Sora cocked his head. "Axel, what were you trying to do?" he asked.

Axel sighed. "I wanted to see Roxas, and maybe knock some sense into Lelie," he muttered. "They...were the only ones I liked...They made me feel..like I had a heart. It's kind of...funny..." he looked at the Keyblade-Wielder. "You make me feel...the same..." He shook his head, as if he was clearing it. "Kairi's in the castle dungeon. Now go." Axel raised his hand, and an exit appeared.

Violet stood up, and Sora started to, but Axel grabbed his arm. "Hold up," he gasped weakly. Sora bent down again.

"What?" he asked.

Axel reached a shaking hand into his pocket. He pulled out a wrinkled white envelope. "Please...give this to Lelie...You have to understand...The reason she's doing all of this, no one really knows...But I do know that she trusts the Organization less than she trusts you...This...might...help you...gain the upper hand... in a fight against her..."

"Thank you Axel," Sora said, taking the envelope.

"Good...luck...Roxas..." Axel gasped out. His body completely faded, as if he was never there in the first place.

Sora felt a sharp pain tighten his chest. "Wh-what?" he muttered as a tear ran down his cheek.

"Sora?" Violet asked. Sora looked up at her. "Ready?" she asked, holding out a hand.

Sora nodded, wiping away the tear and putting Axel's envelope in his pocket. "Let's get our friends back."

Rue, Demyx

=======

By the time Demyx arrived with a small satchel and a couple of weapons, Rue had succeeded in covering almost the entire room with color pencil and some stray watercolors she found.

"Wow, just...wow," Demyx breathed, a large grin on his face.

Rue looked around the room and down at her paint-spattered coat shyly. "I was bored. Sorry."

"What? Don't you dare apologize!" Demyx exclaimed gleefully. "This is awesome! Saix is gonna be so pissed when he finds out..."

"Soooo, leave?" Rue asked, tilting her head.

"Yep! C'mon!" Demyx grabbed her arm and ran out of the room.

"Woah!" Rue gasped.

"Shh!" Demyx hushed her.

Rue put a hand over her mouth as they ran. "Sorry," she apologized through her fingers. Their hurried footsteps echoed through the castle. "Are you sure no one will hear us?" she asked Demyx, her breathing starting to turn heavy.

"Yep," Demyx panted. "Dusks and Heartless are always prancing around and making noise. Besides, everyone is pretty focused on the Rox-I mean, Sora." He gasped. "Duck!" He pulled them into an empty room. A group of Dusks pranced right by their resting place. After a few moments, they were gone.

Demyx and Rue peeked out. "Alright, when I say go, go, okay?" Demyx whispered. Rue nodded and stepped in front of him. "Ready, set g--gah!"

Rue froze. "Demyx?" She turned and gasped. A white blade was poking out of Demyx's side, which was bleeding freely. The blade was withdrawn and Demyx fell to his knees, eyes wide. "Demyx!" Rue screamed, falling down beside him and putting her hands to his wound, trying to stop the blood.

She heard Demyx's attacker tsk. "Rue, Rue, Rue. I should have warned you." the figure asked, stepping forward and using a cloth to clean off their bloodied blade. "You shouldn't get close to Nobodies..." Lelie grinned, "you both might just get hurt."
