The group stayed frozen, stunned. Donald, Goofy, and Sora were the first to recover, though they didn't speak as Sora was healed. The Keyblade Wielder rubbed his forehead irritably.

"Something wrong?" Donald asked.

"Nothing, just a killer headache," Sora answered. They were all quiet again.

Finally, Mickey broke the silence. "I'm sorry..." he said, hanging his head.

"Why, Your Majesty?" Goofy asked.

"I should have seen this comin'. I knew the darkness was growing inside of her, but..." Mickey droned off.

"I don't think that was the darkness," Rue whispered. Everyone looked at her.

"What?!" Violet exclaimed. "That has to be the darkness! Do you think Lelie would do that any other way?"

"Vi, Lexile's gone," Rue said bluntly. "No matter what we say, she's gone. We can't change that. You need to stop think of Lelie as Lexile. She isn't her. She wouldn't do what Lexile would've done, and she didn't."

Violet's breathing was heavy. "No, you're just being dramatic. I'm sure that if we just go and help her, banish the darkness--"

"It will do nothing," a voice said. Chester barked as an Organization member appeared in front of them. He was a boy with dirty blonde hair and a playful smirk. "Nice to meet you guys, I'm Demyx! You guys are looking lively, despite just having to face Lelie's wrath," he gave a nervous chuckle.

Violet growled. "Could you just get lost?! I've just about had it with you Organization freaks!"

Demyx flinched. "Woah, calm down half-breed."

"Excuse me?!" Violet screeched. Rue just looked at the ground, expressionless.

"How'd a wimp like you get into Organization XIII?" Sora spat, standing up. "I bet you can't even fight."

"Yeah! But we can!" Donald exclaimed. The king quietly walked over to Rue.

"I think we should leave," he whispered. Rue nodded, still quiet.

"You shouldn't judge anyone by appearance," Demyx said, waving a finger.

All the group, besides Rue and the king, raised their weapons.

"Look, creep, I'm not in a very good mood for your nonsense, so get lost!" Violet growled.

"Looks like Heartless do transfer emotions," Demyx sneered. "I thought you all were just mindless monsters!"

"What did you say?!" Violet yelled.

Demyx jumped and turned away from them. "I told them they were sending the wrong guy..."

"Who is this kook?" Sora asked.

"Remember, the Organization is made up of Nobodies, besides Lelie," Goofy reminded them.

"Right-no hearts!" Sora remembered.

Demyx flinched and turned back to them. "We do too have hearts...don't be mad..."

"Don't you dare try and confuse us!" Violet screamed.

Demyx turned around again. "Silence, traitor." He spun around and pointed a harsh finger at Sora. Sora and Violet's eyes widened.

"Rue, we need to go," Mickey whispered urgently as Demyx summoned his sitar. Rue fell to her knees, eyes blank. "Rue!"

"Aww, is the little halfling having a hard time?" a voice mocked. Mickey looked up to see Lelie, smirking.

"Wha-?" he gasped. Lelie snapped her fingers, and a black wall separated them from the rest of the group and Demyx. Lelie jumped down and kicked the king, sending him sprawling across the ground. The king slowly looked up and gasped. Lelie smacked Rue hard on the back of her head, knocking her out.

"Demyx!" she called.

The Nobody turned to her, not breaking apart from teasing the Keyblade Wielder with his water clones. "What?"

"We're done here," Lelie yelled back.

Demyx sighed. "Good, I am getting tired."

Lelie squinted at him. "You haven't even been fighting for that long, and you aren't even doing the fighting."

Demyx wrinkled his nose. "So? What's you're point?"

Lelie rolled her eyes. "You know what, whatever. Let's just go." The two Organization members disappeared.

"What? Where did he go?" Sora shouted.

Violet looked at Mickey. "Where did Rue go?"

Mickey, realizing that they mustn't have seen Lelie, explained.

"What?!" Violet screeched.

"Don't worry, we'll get her back," Sora promised.

Violet slumped to the ground. "I lost her again..." She started crying.

"Violet..." Donald muttered.

Violet sniffed. "I think I can understand Lelie more now."

"How?" Sora asked.

"The way I feel now," Violet said, "there's nothing I wouldn't do to get my sister back, even kill Lelie."

Lelie

=========

Lelie walked up to the Superior of the Organization, who was looking out over the land near Hollow Bastion. Demyx was following her, carrying the small and pale unconscious Rue.

Lelie gave a small bow. "We're done, Superior."

Xemnas nodded. "Well done. Demyx, take the halfling back to the castle, and tell Xigbar to help you keep a close eye on her."

"What? You think I can't do it on my own?" Demyx said, frowning. Lelie and Xemnas gave him a you-know-the-answer look. "R-right fine," Demyx stuttered, disappearing.

Lelie turned back the Xemnas. "So, on to the next phase?"

Xemnas nodded. "Go find Saix. It's time to move forward with our plan."
