Roxas awoke again in his room. He sighed. He looked outside.
"Right...promise..." He swung his hand in the air like we was holding a weapon. He scratched his head. "What a mess..."

Later that day, the whole town was gathered for the tournament. Pence and Olette stood in the crowd, ready to watch Roxas and Hayner.
"Who are you gonna root for?" Pence asked.
"Both of them silly," Olette replied.
The mayor stood up onto the stage as the announcer. "Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for summer's most sizzling clash. That's right! Today is the day for the Struggle and Title match!" The crowd cheered. "Who will be the one to break through the ranks and take on our champion, Stezer?! And who will leave today as the new Struggle champion?!" The crowd cheered who they all hoped would win. "Yes, the crowd is fired up so you know what comes next! Let's Struggle!"
The crowd cheered even louder. The judge stood up.
"Hey now! It's time to introduce today's combatants! The four bad boys who struggled their way through the preliminary. Regular finalist and head of the Twilight Disciplinary Committee: Seifer! Completely out of nowhere, who knew he'd make it so far this year: Vivi! Underground favorite and local attitude problem: Hayner! And struggler number four happens to be my absolute favorite customer: Roxas!"
Roxas tried to catch Hayner's eyes, but Hayner refused to look at him. Roxas hung his head sadly.
"So, who will win this sweltering summer Struggle? Who will take home the Grand Prize? The Four Crystal Trophy! And, a chance to take on our defending champion: Stezer! It won't be long folks! I suggest our Strugglers go over to the official Struggle rules before we begin."

A few minutes later, Roxas and Hayner were standing on top of the stage, holding large padded toy swords. The faced each other.
Roxas gave a weak smile. "Hey... sorry about yesterday."
"What? You're still worried about that?" Hayner replied. "You need to learn to let that stuff go."
"I got a lot on my mind..." Roxas muttered.
"Sorry man," Hayner apologized. "Wait, what am I sorry for?" He gave Roxas a large smile. Roxas smiled back.
"Our first match of today's Struggle Tournament will be between Roxas and his best friend, Hayner!"

After the match was over, Hayner lay on the ground, breathing heavily. The judge came over and lifted one of Roxas's hands into the air.
"And the winner is: Roxas! Not even friendship will slow this kid down! And Hayner put up a great fight too!"
Roxas ran over to Hayner. "I lost!" Hayner complained. "I can't believe it!" He stood up and faced Roxas. "Guess I taught you well."
Roxas smiled. "I had a lot of fun fighting you."
Hayner grinned, but then let it drop. "Yeah, well I didn't wise guy."
Roxas laughed and slugged Hayner in the shoulder. "Let's find a way to cheer you up."
Hayner smiled and batted Roxas's hand away. "Nah, that's all right." Hayner started to walked off the stage, he bumped into Seifer.
"Outta the way," Seifer snapped.
"Are you in a hurry to lose?" Hayner sneered.
Seifer glared at Vivi, who was suddenly standing next to Roxas. Roxas jumped as Vivi giggled creepily at him.
