Hey everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't updated for a while! The past few weeks have so crazy for me. From a full schedule to no less then three mental breakdowns, let's just say I've had a lot on my plate an might have almost choked a couple times. Plus, I got into this amazing new fandom! I'm really excited to update this chapter though! I'm going to introduce a new story line that will continue through some other books (hopefully), which will be the Maidens. If you guys like it and want to find out more, please vote and comment! Depending on how this chapter and the next one goes, it will decide which projects that I'll focus on. I've had some ideas for this for a while, and they've become a little too planned out for me to just leave them in my brain!
Sorry, there's very little of Sora and the rest of the group in this one, but I really wanted to introduce the Maidens and they kinda took up a lot of space, and this chapter was getting a little too long...
Again, I hope you guys like it! Thanks so much for reading! Sorry for any grammar or spelling errors.

When Sora and the others woke, it was quiet. Almost too quiet, and empty. Like when you're having a conversation and you know what the other person is going to say, but they don't say it.
"Is everyone okay?" Sora called out.
"Yeah," everyone else answered. They were all strewn out across the white, blood-spotted ground just below the top of the Castle. All except for Demyx, who was standing at the edge of the platform, staring at the abyss below with a blank expression.
"She really did it..." he muttered.
"Who?" Rue asked, rubbing her aching head.
"Huh? Oh, no one," Demyx answered quietly.
Violet groaned. "My head feels funny."
"Mine too," Riku grumbled, massaging his temples.
"It was probably just that last Nobody we fought," Donald concluded.
"Yeah! Uh...who was it again?" Goofy asked.
"Probably no one important," Sora shrugged. Everyone nodded in agreement. Except for Demyx, who flinched, but he didn't say anything.
"It's just Xemnas now, right?" Rue asked, looked at the uncomfortable Demyx.
Demyx nodded slowly. "Yes, he should be the last one."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Mickey asked, running up the last flight of stairs. The other's followed him, readying themselves for the final battle.

Far away from the World That Never Was, 5 young women sat in a circle of thrones, with three empty ones standing behind them, slightly elevated above the rest. The sat inside of a grand palace nestled among the stars. Each female looked very different, with only one thing in common. The origin of their souls.
"Finally, they're on the move again," one young woman said, referring to Sora and his friends. They all stayed quiet. The girl who spoke had chocolate-colored skin and piercing, snake-like red eyes. Her arms and parts of her feet and legs were made of hard, cold metal, sending the clear message of her power. Her hair was a short, fiery red. "Well, I guess I'm going to have to say it," she sighed. "Lelie's gone, so what are we planning to do now?"
"Well, we cannot expect her to stay 'gone' for long," another girl said. She was very small, with incredibly long light blue hair that had silver slowly starting to grow from her roots. Her skin was a light tan, with blue snake-like eyes that hinted at wisdom far beyond her years.
The third young woman huffed. She had medium-length silver hair that shined a luminous green depending on how you looked at her. Her pale skin also seemed to glow with an otherworldly light. As did her shimmering green eyes. "Why don't we just, y'know, end her ourselves. It'd delay her reincarnation for sure. Or what if we even sealed her away! Then she wouldn't be able to come back at all! My crystal has been begging for some flesh to consume."
"No," another female stated firmly. She had long black hair and a pale face. Her blood red eyes dropped to make a bored expression, and her mouth grinned lazily, showing off elongated canines, perfect for drinking blood. "As per usual, you are being far too reckless."
Another petite girl giggled. "Yup, yup, yup! The next Keyblade War is far to near for us to take that drastic of measures," she gave the group a toothy smile, her short, straw-colored hair bouncing as she vigorously nodded her head. Her act of innocence being betrayed by the short golden horns sprouting from the top of her head and her wide black-gold eyes, showing a piece of the demonic soul inside of her.
The green-haired girl growled. "Shut up. Why do you guys care anyway? It's not like the fate of your worlds are at stake...Stupid AU's."
The fanged female only smirked. "Perhaps, but it would break my poor, dear, heart to know that something awful happened to you all~"
"Ha! Like you actually have a heart beating inside your chest!" the redhead interrupted dryly. "You lost any connection you had to humanity centuries ago, so don't go around spreading your 'pity'. We don't need it."
"Su~re you do~," the horned girl singsonged.
"You little!" the green-haired girl spat.
"Quiet!" the blue-haired girl hissed softly, "She's coming." The rest of the group immediately quieted down. Their gaze turned to the silent doorway.
Suddenly, the doors opened silently. A sixth Maiden walked into the room, doors closing just as quietly as they had opened.
She walked forward and stood in front of the three empty thrones, the final girl sighed. She was the most goddess-like of the girls. She had misty white hair that seemed to float through the air held back by a white pearl headband and long, pointed ears. Her skin was a deep blue-purple with sparkling white freckles. Her eyes were a midnight black with startling blue irises. Her body looked like the embodiment of a clear night sky, just as beautiful and just as ancient.
"We need not worry," she said in a rich voice, walking to one of the empty thrones and sitting down, leaving the center and far right one vacant. She lifted a hand and a ball of light appeared above the women. Inside of the light, they could see Sora and his friends running to the top of the Organization's castle, ready to face Xemnas. "Through reincarnation, Lelie's body and soul is being purified of the darkness that has plagued her and those around her. And with the help of the Keyblade wielders and the rest of Death's chosen ones-" the female looked calmly at the rest of the group, "We will finally--finally-- achieve total victory over both the darkness and light. And save all realms." All of the girls grinned and some even chuckled.
The demonic girl giggled again, looking at the glowing ball as it drifted past her back towards the ancient Maiden. "Be prepared little humans~. The dawn of a new area is about to arrive~!"
The star-covered girl took the white ball and cradled it between her palms.
"Be prepared," she agreed and whispered into the ball:
"...~Above you~..."
