I went downstairs to the kitchen. Made myself waffles and ate. When I finished I saw my mom dressed up. She had her hair down and was wearing a blue and black dress.
"Morning honey." said my mom.
"Morning mom." I said. My dad came down too. He was wearing a suit and tie.
"Morning." he said.
"Morning dad. Where are you guys going?" I asked.
"Church." said my dad.
"Oh, forgot." I said.
"Don't you want to come?" said my mom.
"Um. No I don't want to come today." I said.
"All right we'll be back around 12 pm." said my dad. I looked at the clock it's 9:43 am.
"Ok." I said. And they left. With nothing to do I went to the living room and turned on the t.v. I went through a whole bunch of channels before I gave up and went to my room. I decided to clean up a little since my room has been a little disorganized. I started throwing things that were meant to be in the garbage. I organized my perfumes, lotions, hair products, and make up. Then went to the dirty clothes that had been there for a long time. I picked it up and went to the laundry room to put it in the basket. As it all falls into the basket a piece of paper landed outside. I picked it up and looked at it. It was Kayla's song.
I had forgotten all about this. I mean I did remember that I had to sing it but I didn't know where I had left it. I went back to my room and started to work on it. When I finished it actually sounds good, but to me something was off. I put it in my pocket so that I won't forget about it, like that is going to happen. I swear it's like I have amnesia. I looked at the clock and sighed. It said 11:15. I worked on it for about an hour and thirty minutes.
I started to get hunger so I made myself a sandwich. I started to hum to a song that heard in the radio one day. I ate and went to the living room. I sat on the sofa with nothing to do. Wow I'm bored. Then an idea popped in my head. But the question I had was how do I get there? I called my mom and asked for directions.
"Why do you want to go there?"
"I just have a feeling that I have to go." I said.
"All right." she said and gave me the directions and said that the keys to get inside are with her keys. I got my mom's car keys and my phone, locked the door and left. Once in the car I followed the directions.
Forty minutes later I reached my destination. Kayla's little house. I got out of the car and looked at it. I haven't been here since Kayla died and when I did come here it was my first time. The first time I actually got a glimpse of why Kayla changed. But it isn't enough for me. I came here because I wanted to know why she actually changed not some excuse. I know for a fact that they still haven't cleaned out here so it's my chance. My chance to get answers. Now the question is if they are here.
I walked up to the house and unlocked it, opened the shutters so that I can have light in the house and went in. It still looks the same as it has been since I was here. It looked cozy and smells like her. I closed the door behind me and out my keys down on the coffee table. I let out a sigh. "Where to start?" I went to the desk and looked around there were papers but nothing that stand out. I looked in the drawers which took me about 10 minutes to do so and came up with nothing. I looked around. There isn't anywhere else to look except in the bed. I went to the bed and check in the mattress, just like in the movies. Nothing.
I sat down on the floor and laid down about to give up, when I turned my head and saw what could possibly be what I need. I see a brown box. I reached under the bed and pulled it out. On the top of the box has a design that went around the frame of the box and a small cross on the top of it. On the side it had a design with the word HOPE on it. There was also writing on it that was gold and in cursive. It said
