Forever Changed

Chapter 15

We both got out of my new car and we walked up to the church. I picked up Taylor before I got to church and she had been pretty nervous. We had been talking these past days and I even introduced her to Alex. She had stopped talking to her friends, I mean she would say hi to them but she said she doesn't want to be influenced to do bad things and I get that. People would look at us when we would walked down the hallways and give us a double take, because nobody would have ever thought that Taylor and Sarah being friends. But hey it happened didn't it. She and I would eat under the tree were its peaceful and just talk. Yesterday Alex came up to us and that's when I introduced them to each other. We all talked until we had to go to class. When Taylor and I were walking she said "He's cute." 

"Yeah I know." I said. 

"He really likes you." she said. 

"What how do you know?" I said. 

"Because of the way he looks at you. Did he asked you out?"  

"Yeah, we have a date this Friday."  

"Ohhhhhh, my friend has a date with a really cute guy." she said. Ever since she said that I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. We arrived at church early because I wanted to practice Kayla song. We entered the church and saw Alex waiting on stage with the piano.  

"Hey Alex." I said. 

"Hey Alex." said Taylor. 

"Hey." he said looking up from the piano. 

"So let's start." I said as I get up on stage. 

"Start what?" asked Taylor. 

"Oh that's right I forgot to tell you." I said. "Well there is a talent show going on here on Saturday night and I signed up for it."  

"Why?" 

"Because I promised Kayla I would." I said. 

"Oh ok. I didn't know you could sing." she said. 

"Me either until Kayla helped me find out that I could." I said. 

"Well lets hear it." said Taylor. I sang the song while Alex played the piano. "Wow your amazing, but it's missing something."  

"Like?" asked Alex. 

"Guitar, well acoustic guitar." said Taylor as she gets up on stage and takes an acoustic guitar from the stage. She gets a stool next to me and sat down.  

"You know how to play guitar?" Alex and I asked at the same time. 

"What? Is it that surprising." she asked. 

"Kinda." I said. 

"Well I can do more than just be mean to people which I'm trying to get rid of. So what are the notes?" Alex showed her the sheet and she started to play. Then Alex, then I stared to sing and we came together great.  

"We sound good." said Alex. 

"Yes we did." said Taylor.  

"Thank you guys for helping me with this." I said. 

"No problem." said both Taylor and Alex.

I went up to the school and saw Taylor waiting for me outside. We had fun last night. Taylor got to meet everyone at church and she said she loves it. She wanted to come back again.  

I went up to her and we walked inside and talked then out of no where Taylor trips and falls on the floor hard. To the side of where Taylor fell I heard a girl laughing. Taylor got up and confronted her. 

"What's you problem?" said Taylor to her ex best friend. Lindsey. She is tall brunette with very brown eyes. She has a few freckles but that's what made her pretty. She is now the one running the school. 

"You were in my way." said Lindsey. 

"No I wasn't you tripped me in purpose." said Taylor. 

"Shut up and go screw around someone else." said Lindsey. I saw Taylor's face change she was shocked and terrified. 

"What did you say?" said Taylor.  

"You heard me. Only you would go screw around guys for attention." said Lindsey. She turned to me. "Did she tell you?"  

"Yes she did and I don't care. A guy is not worth it. You can make my life a living hell for all I care, but remember this I have been through worse. And if you dare speak to my friend that way I'll make sure your life is a living hell. Got it?" I said. 

"You know that's not very Christian like, freak." said Lindsey. How does this girl know these things? 

"Yeah I know your right. It's not Christian like and I am a freak. Ok. I don't care what you call me. I don't care what you do to me. There is no reason for me to fight you. I don't hate you. You can do anything you what to me. I don't care. Nothing is worse that what I have been through these past days." as I said this a crowd started forming and tears weld up in my eyes. I didn't want to cry but I know I can't stop it. "I fought with my best friend. I broke up with my boyfriend, but worst of all I saw my sister die. When she died so did I. So if you think that calling me names or pushing me around is gonna hurt me think again." and I walked away while she just stands there jaw wide open. Taylor follows me and Alex came up to me.  

"Wanna leave?" asked Alex. 

"Yes." I said as tears fall. 

"Can I come?" asked Taylor. 

"Yeah." said Alex. We got out of the building and left. We got in Alex's car and drove off.

We walked out of the car and into the parking lot of the park. We decided to go to the park which I think was a good idea considering that I need time away from everyone. I needed to get my thoughts out and these were the only people that I trusted so far. Yeah I didn't know them for that long but it feels like I have can tell them anything. Which is weird considering that one of them was a girl that I hated only days ago. Odd, right?  

"Favorite movie." I asked. 

"Facing the Giants." said Alex. 

"Um. I have to say legally blond." said Taylor. 

"Really? Why?" I asked. 

"Well its about a blond girl who everyone thinks that won't make and she proves them wrong." said Taylor. 

"Good point." I said. 

"Favorite show." said Alex. 

"Grey's anatomy." Taylor and I said at the same time, we busted out laughing. 

"Why do girls like that show?" asked Alex. 

"Because of the drama that happened and-" I said. 

"And the cute doctors." said Taylor. 

"Whatever." said Alex. 

"Gasp is he jealous?" said Taylor. 

"I think he is." I said.  

"No I'm not." said Alex. 

"Yes you are." said Taylor and I at the same time. Then we busted out laughing. We spend the rest of the day at the park till it started to get dark. We had a great time and I couldn't ask for anything better. Now my life was starting to be back on track.
