Mom dropped me off at school since I still don't have a car with me. I get to school a little bit happier. I have a date with Alex on Friday, I finished the song, and I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. I want to change. I have to change. I can't be living the same way I have been living all the time. I need to move on with my life and make a big change. A change Kayla would have love to see. I was about to go in school when I see Alex coming up to me.

"Hey!" I said instantly smiling at him.

"Hey!" he said and he smiled too.

He opened the door for me and grabbed my hand and I let him. We walked hand in hand to my locker. There were a couple of people staring at me, but I don't care. They probably think that I got over Adrian really fast and maybe I did, but Alex makes me feel special. I can't ignore what I feel no matter how hard I try. If people what to think something bad about me let them, they don't know what I have gone through and maybe one day they will understand, but they don't have the right to judge.

"So, you excited about singing?" he said.

"Yes, but at the same time I'm kinda nervous, which I think can be pretty understandable considering that I don't know many people from church." I said.

"Yeah, but I'll be there up on stage with you so you will be fine." he said.

"Yeah. I will." I said confidently. I got my books out of my locker and I said goodbye to Alex so that he can get his books and so that we both can get to class.

I went to my first period and thought about the singing. If I want to do good I have to practice with Alex. He's going to be playing the piano while I sing. We worked that out yesterday. Speaking of Alex I don't know what we are, I mean I really do like him but considering him my boyfriend, I don't know. I wouldn't mind at all. But is it too fast? How should I know. I have only ever had one boyfriend and that's Adrian. I know shocker. But I did have lots of hook ups that really didn't go anywhere past making out, which I'm thankful for.

The bell rang and that's when I realized that I tuned out for all of first period. I went to my second period but I wasn't there for like two minutes when they called me to the office.

"Sorry to interrupt but can you send Sarah Jenkins to the guidance counselor office." said the lady on the intercom.

"Sure. Sarah?" said my second period teacher. I grabbed my things and left to go to the office. To get to the office it takes about five minutes. I know it's such a long walk. But I can manage.

I got to the main office and went to the lady on the front desk. "I was called here, my name is Sarah Jenkins." I said. The lady looked up and said "Oh yes! The guidance counselor office is down this hall on the left and it's the second door on the right."

"Thanks." I said to the lady and walked to the guidance counselors office. I knocked the door and I heard a voice on the other side of the door "Come in." I opened the door and saw a lady in her thirties behind the big desk at the other side of the room. I went in and closed the door behind me and I looked around the room.

The room itself was pretty big and the walls were a creamy color there was a window at one wall. There were picture frames all around the room, but the frames did not contain pictures of people. Instead they contained nature. There was a rug in the middle of the room and there was a coffee table on the rug. There was a large sofa and an armchair next to it. Overall the room was comfortable.

I looked up and the lady, or the counselor, got up from her desk. She was short but she was wearing heels so it added height to her petite frame. She had straight blond hair that reached just past her shoulder. She had blue eyes. Overall she is pretty.
