Life ignoring Farlan is apparently rather boring.

"Gayle, I don't get it," he said. "I don't understand. "Please explain exactly what I said that offended you."

But I didn't respond. A part of me realised that I was making him feel almost like Becks had made me feel - he knew that it was his fault, he just didn't know why.

But he had been out of line. Bang out of order.

So I just smiled sweetly. "Excuse me Farlan," I said.

He sighed exasperatedly.

"Fine," he said bitterly. "Be like that. I'm only trying to help. It sort of looks like you need a friend, Gayle."

And then he walked away.

It was only after that I realised just how lonely it was without him.
