I stayed at home today wondering why she did it. Wondering what was going through her head at the time.
Wondering if it was my fault - because really, it must have been.
That's why she didn't tell me anything.
Actually - scrap that: the whole of it is a complete lie. I didn't stay at home wondering.
I stayed at home today crying. I couldn't think straight for most of that damn twenty-four hours because all I knew were tears and hurt and more tears. It's like I'm caught up in a fire - like I've been chopped up and burned as winter fuel.
The thing is that Becks was my best friend. She was my world in a single person, my one thing that I would take to a desert island.
But now she's gone.
And how it hurts. It hurts hurts hurts.
Yesterday was numb - a blissful, peaceful, ignorant numb where everything refused to sink in.
But today is my downfall.
