final author's note

Wow. I cannot believe that this is over, or that you've stayed with me this entire journey.

THANK YOU SO MUCH IT MEANS THE ABSOLUTE WORLD

But I feel a need to do an author's note to finish this all off.

Firstly, if you ever feel anything like any of the characters in this story, please please please talk to someone. It could be a parent, a friend, a sibling... Someone you don't even know in real life. I don't know - but I do know that it's not good to let it all build up. Like for real, if you're stuck, come talk to me. My inbox is always open, and I've been through a similar situation as Gayle, and I understand all of my characters in this story on a personal basis.

Second, suicide is serious. If you know someone who threatens it, literally help them. I beg you. They could be you worst enemy, but if they're going to jump off a building, I will beg you to try and stop them.

Suicide doesn't just destroy the person - it destroys everything they leave behind. It leaves an after effect - and it'sone of the most drastic and dreadful after effects that is known to man.

And finally, if you're unfortunate enough to be in the same place as Gayle [massive hugs man] then never blame yourself. Unless you physically did a Moriaty and gave them no option [did anyone ever find out how he survived?] then you are not to blame. This is key. Throughout the story, Gayle blames herself - but it's Farlan who can see and finally convinces her that it's not really her fault.

This entire story is dedicated to Steve. I think you know why. Thank you for everything and I'm still sorry.

And Tom. You deserve a partial dedication at least. I know we don't talk as much as we used to, but you're the strongest person that I know. Never forget that.

And finally, to you, the readers. All of you who cried at Gayle's emotions, who begged her to change her mind... You were all part of the journey, and I can't ever thank you enough.

I hope you guys enjoyed the rollercoaster and that I'll see you aroud my other stories!

Love,

Hannah xo
