I decided to try and finish Becks' story today.

I didn't manage it.

You see, Riley commits suicide. She hangs herself in her bathroom by a rope that she's had hidden in her wardrobe for a while. And she writes out half of a note for Selly but she doesn't finish it.

I stopped reading then.

I stopped reading because it proved that Farlan was right. It proved that Becks knew what was going to happen: that she chose.

That she chose despite knowing what it might do.

But knowing that just proves my point. It proves that I was to blame - that I am to blame because I let her down so many times that at the end, it just didn't matter anymore.

And all knowing that does is build the guilt.
