chapter four
( the frost )☆★
AS SOON as Rebekah and Klaus left the gym Rebekah pulled Niklaus aside. "Nik," she said, an uneasy feeling in her stomach. "That boy in there" she started not sure how to put what she was going to say into words.
Klaus groaned, "Yes, Rebekah, spit it out," he said.
Rebekah dropped her arms to her sides. "There's something off about him. I think I've seen him before. . .in a dream" she trailed off. "Look I know it sounds crazy but I dreamed about him so many times when you daggered me that you'd think it was a memory, like we knew him or something" she added.
"So what are you saying? he's evil? he's going to kill us? what? just spit it out I don't have time for this" Niklaus raised his voice. To say the least, bringing his sister out of that coffin had been a big mistake. She never shut up and he was already stressed enough about breaking this curse, again.
Rebekah exhaled, "I don't know, Nik" she spat. "All I'm saying is be careful. When you were here last time you never heard of him. Now he comes out of nowhere and you're not going to question it?" she asked.
Klaus hummed frustrated, "He's something supernatural. He froze my arm for a second, I assumed he was a witch but maybe. . .he's something else" he sighed, knowing coming back was ending to be more than he bargained for.

flashback
IT WAS daytime in the village, nearly 2 pm and still, Henrik and Niklaus were playing. They'd left early this morning and headed to the forest since the eleven-year-old wanted to learn how to 'fight bad guys' as he said. Though only twenty minutes in Henrik gave up and told Nik he wanted to play tag.
"I thought you wanted to learn how to fight off bad guys," Nik said with a smile. He adored his little brother deeply.
The nearly 4'9 boy smiled widely and the faced the ground, "Well. . .I did. But this is kinda boring and I'd rather play tag" he admitted sheepishly. "Maybe with Kol and Lijah?" he asked quietly.
Niklaus put his hand to his heart. "Are you saying I'm boring?" he asked shocked, he tsked. "I'm going to tell Rebekah you said I'm your favorite" he warned, "Unless you can get me, but you might be too bored for that," he said before running off into the direction of the village.
