AS OF  the next day, it seemed like any normal ordinary day. You never would have thought last night two of the school's students were killed in this very school. Today was Jack's first day of Junior year, and he was late.

Mystic High started at eight-thirty and by now the boy had already missed the first two periods, now it was lunch and he was trying to find Elena. Jack raced through the school, running hallway through hallway, bumping into Jeremy. He stopped, "Oh! Jer, tell Alaric I'm sorry I missed training today, please" he asked with an innocent smile.

Ever since Stefan's switch was turned off last night and he bit Elena which ended with her in the hospital and Klaus taking her blood, everyone was on edge. Especially Alaric who was still getting over the loss of Jenna. So he told the teenagers, specifically the human ones, Elena, Maxine, Jeremy, and Jack, to meet him in the woods this morning so he could teach them a few ways to protect themselves.

Jeremy nodded, he was talking to Bonnie and the boy had cut him off. "Yeah, sure" he replied. Jack thanked him and then continued running down to until he found Elena who slammed her locker shut, getting off the phone with someone.

"Where were you? I was worried" Elena said as soon as she saw the blonde boy who was nearly a foot taller.

Jack gulped, "I slept in" he replied shrugging, earning an unimpressed look from the girl. "What? I was tired after nearly being killed by original vampires, it's tiring" he added in honesty. Elena rolled her eyes and huffed.

Across from them, Caroline was stapling up a poster for the back to school bonfire. "I forgot about the bonfire," Elena said as she and Jack walked up to the perky blonde.

Caroline turned around in shock and groaned, "You have to go. It's our first spirit squad event. And it sets the bar for the whole year!" she exclaimed panicking.

Jack laughed, "Relax, Care. We'll be there" he assured. Tyler came and kissed Caroline, making the other two uncomfortable standing right behind them. He seemed to be in a great mood despite last nights events.

"Happy first day," Tyler said to everyone.

Jack looked at his shirt, seeing a small bloodstain on the right side. It was fresh and not dried up. He furrowed his brows and made a disgusted face, "Is that blood? that looks nasty" he said making a fake gaging sound.
