Joker The New King

Chapter 5

9:55 AM, School hallways

Elaine decided to call Arlo to check up on him. She pulls out her phone from her pocket to call him, but instead... another familiar sound answered Arlo's phone instead

"Hello?" It was Doctor Darren

"Doc? Why do you have Arlo's phone?"

"I have your friends phones in my possession right now to let them recover... Your friends are in the Infirmary right now"

"W-what? Okay thanks Doc... I'll be coming over"

So it's not just Arlo? Why did I hear about this news just now? I should probably head to the Infirmary now to let them recover a bit faster with my healing ability

After the realization... Elaine picked up her pace to and rushed to the infirmary. When she arrived, she saw all the royals injured in the Infirmary beds, along with Seraphina also present in the infirmary

"What happened to you guys?..." Said Elaine fearfully. There's no one else that can do all this besides 'him'

"Elaine... you also knew, didn't you?" Asked Seraphina, emotionlessly

"Eh? Knew what?" Elaine asked... but she already had a feeling that it was about John, it was just a countermeasure in case that Seraphina would still be oblivious about Joker

"About John..." 

"So you finally found out too...."

Seraphina's face darkened, realizing that she's the only one oblivious about everything... From everyone that was in the room, Seraphina was the only one that didn't know. It was her best friend to make it even worse

"Seraphina, please... I need you to talk to him. You're the only person in this room that John is willing to listen" Said Arlo with a little bit of hope remaining

"But what should I do? Im just a cripple now..."

"That's not what I meant... you are his only friend in this school. Please... just try and talk to him, he'll listen"

School Hallways

Now that Arlo is dethroned...  Cecile thought it was the best for her to step back in and become the president of Wellston's Press again, mainly because Arlo finally doesn't have the authority as Wellston's King anymore

'Those high-tiers... they just does everything they want. Arlo took my President title of Wellston press to a weakling... and Seraphina gave my Jack title to yet another weakling. They all didn't  deserve the titles that they have'

Cecile's face darkened just by thinking about it. She felt as if she didn't deserve any of those treatments she's gotten. All she did was just to deliver any news as unbiased as possible... And she did just that. As Cecile arrive at the Wellston Press, she heard students in the room chatting and whispering about her sudden appearance

"W-what is Cecile doing here? I thought she wasn't permitted to step foot here ever again?"

"But Arlo Isn't even the King anymore... so maybe she can go back"

"But Arlo is still stronger than Cecile! Isn't that enough to have authority over her?"

But Cecile couldn't care less about what those students have to say... She just wanted to go back and do her usual thing and have Isen demoted

After a while where she finally gained the chance to spend time at the press again... she notices the new articles that the students were making. And it was no surprise that it was all to be about 'Joker'

Cecile took interest into it. But there was no way that John isn't going to be happy about that. So she thought that it was the best course of action to ignore all of them

3:12 PM, Wellston Private Highschool, End of class

The school was already over for the day, but John has yet to calm down his nerves. He despises it when people try to gang up on him. It always remind him of the day when Claire decided to betray him. He wouldn't have to beat up Isen and Blyke for the second time if it weren't for them helping out Remi

Whatever... I can't wait for this class to end so I can hang out with Sera after school... That'll help me cool off my head

John thought. After class ended, he went to their usual meeting spot outside school near the entrance gate. But there was already her present, already ahead of me

"Hey Sera!" I greeted

'Why is her face so pale?... Is it because she lost some sleep again?  She did lose some sleep recently because of her ability loss. But this time, in kinda felt different. It's kinda making me nervous'

"John..."
