Chapter 9

-Alyziana-

Kahit alam kong matagal na ang tulog ko ay amoy na amoy pa rin ang bango ni Yumi sa ilong ko. Am I delusional? Or it is reality?

“Blaze, wake up. We are here.” Bulong ni Yumi sa tenga ko. Ang sexy ng boses niya!

Dinilat ko ang aking mga mata at bumungad kaagad sa akin ang nakangiti niyang mga labi. Ngayon ko lang napansin, may maamo pala siyang mukha kahit mukhang barumbado sa malayuan.

“Are you dreaming, Blaze?” He smirked at me. Heaven! Ang gwapo niya talaga!

“Hindi, a!” Sabi ko at napaangat ako ng ulo ko. Ngayon ko lang napansin na nakahilig pala ang ulo ko sa kanyang dibdib. God! Anong nangyari.

“If you are not dreaming then what you said earlier is not a dream?” He said. What? Did I say something?

“You are sleep-talking.” He said then he smirked.

“Anong sinabi ko?” Tanong ko.

“It is me to know and for you to find out. Come on, we are here.” He said. He smirked again and he went out of the car.

I was shocked when I saw where we here in a church. It a typical small church but something in this church that makes me feel like I am in some clouds. Nang nilibot ko ang paningin ko ay nakita ko ang paligid. Nakita ko ang buong metro manila dito.

“Nasaan tayo?” Tanong ko.

“Nasa Grotto tayo.” Ngiting sabi ni Yumi.

“Grotto?” Nagtatakang tanong ko.

“Yep. This Grotto is somewhere in the boundary of Antipolo and Marikina.” Sabi ni Yumi.

“How do you find this place? It’s like heaven.” Sabi ko.

“Wala akong magawa that time kaya napag-isipan kong mag-bicycle then napadpad ako rito. Nung una ngang punta ko rito nagkandawala-wala ako. It’s fun, yeah. Pero nawala ako sa lugar na ito. Then the next time I went here, montik na akong masagasaan naman ng jeepney. It’s funny but yeah. Marami ng montik ang nangyari sa akin dito.” Sabi niya.

“Pang ilang beses mo ng punta rito?” Tanong ko habang naglilibot kami papunta sa likod ng maliit na simbahan.

“More or less, twenty times. I lost count already.” Sabi niya. “Come I want to show you something.” Sabi ko then he drags me towards some kind of cliff.

“This is where I usually went every time I want to shout but now I want to share it to you.” Sabi niya.

“Why?” Tanong ko.

“It’s fun to just shout, you know.” He smirked. Why he really like to smirk?

The end of the end went so fast and it was really fun. This is the first time I shouted from the top of my lungs. This is the first time that I squat into the grass and after wards I roll into it. As we are heading back towards the car ay sobrang dumi ko.

“Thank you, Yumi.” Sabi ko.

“The pleasures are all mine.” He said while he is opening the door for me. Nang nakapasok ako sa loob ay nakita kong nakangiti si Yumi.

“Bakit yung ngiti mo parang wala ng bukas?” Tanong ko.

“Actually, dapat ako yung mag-thank you sa iyo.” Sabi niya. Nagtaka naman ako sa sinabi niya. Wait? Aalis din ba siya tulad ni Ezequiel?

“Do not tell me na aalis ka rin at iiwanan ako?” Tanong ko. Akala ko tatango siya pero tumawa lang siya ng napakalakas.

“Who, knows.” He said. Lalo akong nagtaka sa sinabi niya. Is he talking in riddles? If he does, why is he talking in riddles?

“Hey, relax. I am not going anywhere.” He said. Siguro nakita niya sa mukha ko ang pagtataka.

-Yumi-

Nakita ko ang lungkot bigla sa mukha ni Blaze kaya parang na-consensiya ako. Hindi naman talaga ako aalis sa tabi niya pero lalayo ako. Magkaiba naman iyon di ba?

Hinatid ko muna si Blaze sa bahay nila bago ako umuwi sa bahay. Pagkadating ko roon ay nadatnan ko si Kenneth sa bahay. Nakahiga siya sa sofa habang tinitignan ang litrato ni Kayezza sa kanyang wallet.

“Paano kung makita ni Kaye, iyang litrato niya sa wallet mo?” Tanong ko.

“Then I’ll make an alibi.” Sabi niya sa akin kahit hindi niya ako nililingon. Napailing na lamang ako sa kanya at tuloy-tuloy akong umupo sa tabi niya. Nakatitig pa rin siya sa litrato ni Kayezza na parang nag-ha-hallucinate siya.

“Kung ice cream lang yang litrato na yan kanina pa tunaw iyang litrato ni Kaye.” Sabi ko. Napangisi naman si Kenneth.

“If Ate Alyziana is an ice cream then she already melted years ago.” Balik niya sa akin. “Don’t lie to me because every time we visited her before, you look at her in a dreamy look.” Hindi naman ako nakakibo sa kanya.

“Do you love her?” He asked.

“Why you want to know?” I asked back.

“Because I can feel that we are both in love to the Smith sisters.” He sat up, then he smirk at me.

“You are in love with her?” I am referring to Kayezza.

“Sort of, yeah. It is like only but it is already near to in love.” He told me then he look me in the eyes. “Did you ask that to Kuya Ezequiel for you to have an overhead run towards Ate Alyziana’s heart?”

“No, I just want to make Blaze happy without Kuya Ezequiel who interferes.” I explained.

“Love sucks.” He said. Napatawa naman ako dahil pareho sila ng sinabi ni Daddy.

“You know what. Blaze might not be mine but we are both part of each other’s love story. Kaye is the same with you. Just live with it.” I said and stand up. I walked towards my room and sleep.

Tomorrow is a new day, another day I could treasure for a lifetime.
