Seoksoo
Jisoo hummed as he picked up his weapons from the shelf, strapping them to his body or slipping them into other spots like his shoes. They, his partner and boyfriend Seokmin and himself, were going for a new mission, just the two of them. He didn't find it unpleasant that his missions were so grotesque or inhumane, from his teachings, their enemy was as bad as themselves. Seokmin entered the weapon store and scoffed at the song his boyfriend was humming. "What?" He asked, annoyed at his reaction." It's a song for little kids."The other replies, leaning against the wall with a smirk. Jisoo laughed lightly. "You're never too young to sing nursery songs." He kissed him on the cheek, smiling as he said, "Let's go."
The mission was going smoothly so far, but Seokmin knew that he never should sigh in relief till the mission was over. Jisoo emerged from the small window, a grin on his face, one hand carrying a bloody dagger and the other gripping a small metal thumb drive. They hurry out of the alley, still smiling and laughing as if they had just run from a bar, and not a murder scene. Just then, a gunshot rang behind them, hitting the ground where Jisoo's right foot was seconds ago. The duo spun around together, Seokmin pointing upwards and saying "There!"Jisoo noting the worry and concern that hung in his voice. The couple froze for a few precious moments, moments they could have used to run. But they were too dazed, too dazed watching the man on the rooftop.
"Jun?" Jisoo whispered, pain laced in that one-letter sentence. The former acquaintance of theirs knelt at the roof, a mask covering most of his face but the prominent scar on his left cheek way too familiar. The man who had betrayed them betrayed their trust. Jun, or Junhui, smirked cockily, reloading his large sniper gun that stood on a small tripod stand. "Run," Jisoo said, as the two sprinted, Seokmin in front of Jisoo. Then, another bullet zipped through the air, his name was called out softly and Seokmin turned quickly, the world moving in slow-motion.
Jisoo closed his eyes, a single tear escaping his locked jail of emotions, and slid down his pale and getting paler cheek. He toppled forward, blood soaking his white top, like blooming flowers of death. Seokmin acted on instinct, picking him up bridal-style and running as fast as his legs allowed him too, his fear and rage keeping him moving. Jisoo's breathing was turning shallow, and at the moment, the only thing running in Seokmin's mind was to save his boyfriend.
As he ran, all their happy moments trickled into his mind: the day he surprised him on his birthday, celebrating their second anniversary, the time they went out for ice-cream together, all the missions they had had together and lastly the last time he had kissed him. In the weapons room, where he was humming the nursery song You are my sunshine. His favourite part rang in his ear, Jisoo's voice was sweet and gentle like a spring breeze.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. "
at the last part, Seokmin's mind had screamed it, practically begging someone, anyone: '' please don't take my sunshine away."
