AN: I found this in my drafts, I have no idea what it is.
Chan didn't expect to wake up. But he did. He blinks, his eyes crusty as if he had been sleeping for a very long time. He was standing, he realised. And he was dressed in his favourite outfit: white shit, denim jacket, ripped jeans. He was surrounded by a desert-like scene, sand billowing in clouds, more sand rippling across the ground. The sky was clear, but the sun was beating down on his face. He shielded his face and was about to look around when a voice goes, "Welcome to the afterlife. I sincerely hope that-" Chan turned and cursed colourfully. Another boy stood before him, his eyes glowing like lamps, dresses in a suit which was so stupid considering the blistering heat. The figure sighs but his smile never wavers, as if used to this kind of behavior. "Welcome to the afterlife," He repeats, "I sincerely hope that you had a peaceful death. I will be your guide for the next forty-five minutes. Now-" "Hold up, afterlife? I'm dead. Okay, okay, cool. Is this some kind of sick April Fool's day joke?" The figure gives a smile that makes Chan want to slap that smile off. "You are dead," The figure says cheerfully, yet with authority," I am Seungkwan, your guide for the next forty-five minutes. Soon, you will be able to wander the land of the dead, and-" "Is this like the Underworld?" "Look kid, you're making my job really difficult, yes we are in the Underworld, what, you think we're in the upper world? So many pretentious angels." He snorts. "Many ask me: are we in hell? Vahalla? The duat? I have no idea, go find out. You can go forward soon, and-" "Go where?" "One more time you interrupt me I will make you wish you were alive. Go anywhere, there maybe," Seungkwan gestures vaguely into the distance. Just try not to anger the lord of the dead. Or whoever runs this place. I don't know. This is my first day, okay?" Chan huffs. "You are by far the worst guide I have ever met." Seungkwan grins, "Well, you will be a guide one day too." "What now." "Once you have been dead for, I don't know, centuries? You get these freakin lamp eyes and a nice stick to hit people with." Seungkwan hefts a stick that Chan did not notice earlier. "Anyways, enjoy your afterlife!" Seungkwan says merrily, dropping a map on the ground and beaming at Chan before he turns. "Wait, you didn't even tell me what to do! What do I do?" Chan says. Seungkwan turns and grins. "That's for you to find out, sweetie." And then he's gone. So Chan scoops up the map and sighs. "Well, let's go, I suppose."
