Meanie
In most stories, there are two boys, one a popular strong boy, the other a nerdy 'emo' boy. No, let's not do that. No, let's make them...equal. Both not in the limelight, but not in the shadows, not surrounded by admirers, not bullied away into nothingness. Not incredibly smart with full marks on every test, but not stupid, simply failing the occasional Chemistry exam. But of course, they just blended into the crowd. You won't look at them and actually remember them. There would be people in school that you would walk past and think "Hey, that person's kinda cute." But no, people wouldn't exactly wouldn't say that for these two boys. These boys were nobodies. Nobodies, that's who they were.

But that's kinda sad. Let's give them names. Let's say...Mingyu and Wonwoo. Yes, both boys, young and free.

Now, Wonwoo and Mingyu were not the same age, they had an age difference, of course, but still, the school isn't that big, so every once in a while they would walk past each other. Usually they didn't spare each other a single glance, but one fine day, as Mingyu was rushing to History, he caught sight of a boy. He never really looked at boys much, you see if you randomly started staring at boys, they'd think you like them. But today Mingyu couldn't help notice that that boy was really cute. But as much as his brain scrambled for his name, he drew a blank. Those of different ages don't really mix in this school. Mingyu had a sudden urge to become that boy's friend. But he didn't even know his name. So Mingyu just tried to be inconspicuous whenever a teacher was talking to mystery boy and finally he learnt his name.
Wonwoo.
His name was Wonwoo.
When his brain first comprehend that name, the stupid organ was like, "Damn, that's a hella good name."
Then the damn name was stuck in his head. Permanently. It made Mingyu so irritated when he saw Wonwoo and his brain was like "Wonwoo's really pretty". That would have been really stupid to say outloud, but thankfully Mingyu didn't even have friends that would hear that.
But Mingyu craved interaction with Wonwoo.
And one way, he figured out, was to join the same club as Wonwoo.
Now, being the typical character in these kind of books, Wonwoo was in library.
But partially also because Wonwoo didn't like to do sports, or anything else really. You barely did anything in library anyways.
So Mingyu did one of the dumber things he ever did in his life.
He signed up for library
He passed the interview.
Bam, he was in the library club.
Most people wou;d have been nervous on their first day, you know, worrying about how people would think of them, and yeah Mingyu was nervous, though the person he was worried about was Wonwoo. Would Wonwoo think he was silly, or useless, or clumsy? What if...? No, he told himself, I can't think like that. Think positively, his brain cheered halfheartedly. At most he would just drop out.
Mingyu took a deep breath, and walked into the library. He had never been so nervous to walk into a library. Upon noticing that the chair next to Wonwoo was available, Mingyu brightened, then got angry at himself for that. He probably looked really awkward.
Wonwoo glanced up from his phone to regard Mingyu with surprisingly warm brown eyes.
"You new?"
Mingyu nodded.
"What's your name?"
"MIngyu."
Mingyu was shocked at how calm he sounded.
Wonwoo gave a small smile.
"Hi, Mingyu."
Mingyu barely said anything to Wonwoo, and all the latter told him was hello. But Mingyu finally got a chance to speak to the older.
And he was happy.
