Namikaze -Iruka Umino-

Prologue

Asa walked in the village as a large nine tailed Fox stood fighting all the ninja's. Asa's brother was with his wife, they left the girl home when Kushina was about to give birth. Asa saw the horror this fox was bringing, screaming in fear the girl ran from the apartment where her brother lived.

She needed to find her family to make sure they were okay. She ran deep into the village as all the shinobi's ran fighting off the fox. The girl kept running, looking for her family but to no avail. Asa screamed out when she looked up seeing the fox somewhat close. The girl was lifted off the ground and pulled away.

Asa was set with a boy who stood by in fear, yelling for his parents. Asa knew the boy as Iruka Umino, one of her classmates in the academy. Asa's whole body shook in fear, hoping that everything was okay but she had a feeling that it was not. Asa's body kept shaking, her hands cluctched together. Tears streamed down her face as she fell to the ground.

Iruka noticed the girl crying and shaking, his eyes watched as she sobbed. The boy moved to the girl, his arms stretched out and around the girl holding her close. He knew Asa Namikaze, being the sister of the Fourth Hokage, everyone knew her. Iruka held the girl through the attack, he was worried about his parents and now the crying girl as well.

Asa had left Iruka after the fox had disappeared. Only when she found her brother the sight broke her heart. Her brother and his wife dead, laying beside the crying baby. Her only nephew was now without parents. The girl was the child's only family left.

Asa would get made fun of at the academy. The girl tried so hard to pass and become a great shinobi like her brother and sister in law, she wanted to be the best. The kids made fun of how she had to take care of a monster that killed her family.

Iruka had the same fate. The two became friends after one day, Asa was sitting outside at her break period. The girl was alone, never having friends before and definitely not now. Asa sat quietly as a group of kids stood around her, saying awful things about her nephew. Asa's eyes teared up as the kids laughed.

Iruka saw the girl crying, she tried to hide the tears but it was hard. He walked up to them, yelling at all of the kids to leave her alone. Once the group left the poor girl, he kneeled in front of the young blond. Asa looked like her brother, the thin face, blond hair, the bright blue eyes. Asa looked up at the boy to see a smile on his face, she tried to smile back but the sobbing wouldn't stop.

"Hey don't listen to them. My name is Iruka," the boy kept his smile. Asa dried her eyes, looking at the young boy in front of her.

"I'm Asa. W-want to be friends?" questioned the girl.

"Sure!" from then on, the two were best friends. They stuck up for one another, fighting off any bullies they faced.
