As woke to a nightmare, she got them often. They started just after the death of her brother. When he died she left Iruka to go find him, but what she found was something she wanted to unsee. Her brother and his wife laid on the ground bleeding out around their newborn baby.

Asa rubbed her tired eyes as she stood from her bed, the girl walked from her room and to the kitchen. On her way she saw Iruka spiraled out, this made the girl giggle a little. She got into the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water. Filling the cup she quickly downed it before leaving the room again.

Asa walked back into the living room where her friend was still asleep, she went over to the tiny closet and pulled out a blanket to cover the sleeping ninja in her house. Asa then went back to her room where she fell asleep again.

Asa got up again, this time to a four year old jumping onto her bed. The little boy landed right on her, knocking his head into her chest. Asa groaned as she looked down at the blond boy who held a large smile. This made Asa smile back, her little nephew always made her day brighter.

The bedroom door opened to Iruka looking in at the two, he smiled at them. Asa looked up at her friend as she sat up, moving the boy to the side so she was able to stand. The short girl got up to her feet and walked to the dresser, pulling out her ninja clothing. She walked to the bathroom leaving the two boys in silence as she got ready for the day. When she got back Iruka sat on her bed holding Naruto as he talked the teens ear off.

"Do you have a mission today?" Asa asked walking into the room more. Iruka looked up blushing a bit at the girl, his face was always like this and she sometimes would notice.

"No. But the Hokage wants to see you," answered the boy. Iruka stood up still holding Naruto as the three of them walked from the bedroom and towards the kitchen. Iruka set the boy down as he ran to go play with a few toys that Asa had left out in a small box.

"Do you know what he wants?" Asa asked getting nervous. Iruka saw the girl getting nervous, so he lifted his hands to her shoulders causing her to look up into his dark eyes.

"Just go find out. I'll be here with Naruto. I don't have any mission today or anything really to do," the Umino looked at his friend trying to calm her nerves.

Asa sighed with a nod, "Okay. Thank you."

Asa ran to the door, pulling her sandals onto her feet before jumping up onto the roof of her apartment and jumping away to the Hokage tower. It didn't take the girl long as she moved on the roofs. Landing on the Hokage and taping on the window.

The old man looked to see the young Namikaze smiling at him. He sighed, hoping for once that she would have used the door but this is what she had done when her brother was Hokage. He didn't want to break her habit knowing this was the few things that made her feel like he was still there.

The Hokage got up and opened the window, allowing the girl to walk in. Asa jumped in and walked to the man with that large smile still. Asa stood in front of Lord Third as he took his seat again onto the chair. They were in silence for a minute as the man looked through his stack of papers for the mission he was looking for.

The door opened as two more people walked in. Asa looked up to see Rin and Kakashi side by side, the girl smiled at her brothers old team, minus one memeber. The Hokage looked up at the three with a smile.

"Now that everyone is here, it's a simple mission. I have papers of importance that need to go to the sand village. I trust you three to bring them there," the Hokage tell the teens. Asa looked at the man in front of her with confusion.

"Why us?" she asked.

"Well, I need three people. You the medical nin. I know your still training but your sensei has said that your training is almost over, Rin and Kakashi have worked together before and know how to work well," the old man answered with a serious look.

The three nodded their heads. The Hokage handed them the papers and dismissed the team. The three left the building talking up plans to meet within an hour to leave. Asa rushed back to her apartment to get ready.

When the girl walked in she saw Iruka was chasing the little boy around. Naruto giggles were loud which caused his aunt to giggle as well at the two. This had gotten Iruka's attention as he looked to the door way to see Asa leaning on the door frame with a closed eye smile.

"What did the Hokage want?" questioned the teen as he stood up straight looking to the girl. Asa sighed as she sat onto the couch, Iruka noticed this and sat as well watching her every move.

"I have a mission. Just bringing something important to Suna. It should only be a few days. Do you mind watching Naruto while I'm gone. I hate to leave him all alone," the girl looked up. Iruka was staring at her, seeing how sad he eyes got when she said alone. He knew it bothered her when she left for missions. She hated to feel as if she would never come home to Naruto leaving him without any family.

The teenage boy nodded his head with a smile trying to help reassure the Namikaze that he would make sure that Naruto wasn't alone. When she felt as if the boy would be fine, she left the two to get ready for the mission. It wasn't long, all she needed to do was grab her gear that was always together in the bag she carried. Asa was always prepared to leave on a mission.

The girl was never sent out too often because of the little boy in her care, but when she was it was simple things. It wasn't because she was not strong. She was a strong shinobi, but having to care for her brother's child had caused the girl to not go on missions as often which lead the girl to become a medical nin in the hospital.

Asa walked from her room and back into the living room where both boys stood waiting for the teen girl. She looked at the little blond boy that looked just like her brother then to the Umino boy. Iruka smiled at her, closing his eyes as he did so. Asa smiled back as she hugged her friend, her stomach was doing flips as she wanted to badly to tell him. She was afraid that he didn't feel the same so it caused her to keep quiet.

What she didn't know is that Iruka had the same feeling as her hands touched his arms. They smiled at each other before Asa let go and knelt down to Naruto holding her arms out. The little Uzumaki ran into her arms hugging his only family member left.

"Come... back safe," the little boy stuttered out. Asa smiled down at the boy in her arms.

"Of course," she replied. Asa leaned down and kissed the boy's forehead before quickly leaving the house. Iruka looked down at the little boy's sad face.

"Let's go. I'll take you to the park," Iruka told the boy holding his hand out. Naruto smiled big at the teen as they left the apartment.
