Namikaze -Iruka Umino-

Chapter Seventeen

~ One year~
The first year was hard for Asa, she had some hard times worrying about Naruto but Iruka was there for her. She stood in the kitchen now, the sun was fading into the night as she washed the dishes. Asa looked out the window in front of the sink, she smiled seeing the pink sunset. As the woman was distracted Iruka snuck up behind her, wrapping his arms around the small woman. Asa giggled as Iruka buried his head into her neck.

"I have to finish the dishes," Asa giggled. Iruka laughed into her neck, making his breath tickle her. This made Asa shiver as she pulled his arms away. The Namikaze then finished the dishes quickly, only have three left to begin with. The woman turned around, drying her hands with a dish towel.

"Last one to the roof owes the winner ramen," Iruka told the woman. Asa smirked as she was gone in a flash, being Minato's sister she learned to be fast. The woman wanted to be like her brother, so she trained to be fast. Iruka sighed, knowing now that he was going to lose. The man ran out the window, jumping onto the roof only to see Asa sitting down with a smirk.

"When will you learn Iruka," giggled the woman. Iruka sighed with a smile, sitting down next to his girlfriend. Asa smiled, leaning her head onto his shoulder. They sat in silence like that, Iruka's head on hers as they watched the sunset.

Iruka moved his head slightly to see Asa was looking out to the fading light. The fading light, lit her face, shadowing in certain areas. She looked like an angel to him. Asa could feel Iruka staring so the woman looked up, moving her head so she could see his face. The fading light shone off Iruka's face, making his tanned skin look even darker.

Asa moved her face towards his, connecting their lips. Asa kissed Iruka, her arms wrapping around his neck. Iruka placed his hands on her waist, pulling the woman closer to him. Asa loved the feeling of his lips on hers. The warmth they gave when his lips touched hers. She pulled away from Iruka, Asa saw that his eyes were still closed and giggled. Asa stood to her feet, her hands on her hips.

"Let's go inside," Asa hinted. Her face now in front of Iruka's as she kissed his nose. The Umino stood up, grabbing Asa as he jumped from the roof, a giggle escaping the woman. Iruka carried the woman in his arms, his arm around her back and under her legs. Asa leaned up and in, her lips going back to his.

Iruka pulled away from her, walking over to the back door and opening it. He slid the door open and walked in, the man wasted no time in shutting the door and placing his lips back to Asa's. As he kissed her, biting at her lower lip, making the woman giggle. He hurried them to the bedroom, shutting the door on his way in. Once in there he placed her on the bed, getting on top of her. The rest of their night spent together in bed.

~ One year and Nine months~
Almost two years. Asa was counting down now, about another year left and Naruto would be back. The woman got to watch all his friends grow. Asa watched as Sakura was showing how strong she was. Asa worked close with Sakura in the hospital. Tsunade had let Sakura work a few shifts in the hospital with Asa. Asa being a leading medic in the hospital when she worked a shift, so Tsunade thought it would be good for the young girl to work with Asa.

Asa looked at the time to see it was lunch, she looked to a medic who sat next to her. Asa had been at the front desk filling out paper work for the past hour. Something she usually did before lunch.

"I'm taking lunch. Be back in an hour," Asa announced to the woman next to her. The lady nodded her head as a reply as Asa put away the paper into the filing behind her. The woman stood to her feet, walking off towards the room Sakura was in. Sakura had came in an hour ago with Shizune to learn a few things as Lady Hokage had work, when Asa came to the room she knocked on the door.

"Come in," called Shizune's voice. Asa opened the door to see Sakura healing a patient. Asa smiled at the girls progress, she knew Sakura was strong like Lady Tsunade.

"I was wondering if Sakura would like to get lunch with me?" Asa questioned the girl.

"Yes. Is it okay?" Sakura looked to Shizune. The black haired woman nodded with a smile. Sakura walked ahead of Asa as they made their way to the door. Asa questioned the girl for what she wanted to eat. The two came to an agreement for the tea shop.

During the meal they ate in silence. When Asa finished her dango's she looked up from the plate to see the pink haired girl looking at her.

"Yes?" Asa questioned with a smile.

"When are you and Iruka sensei getting married?" The girl asked. Asa choked on her drink, coughing loudly which got the attention of others around her. The blond woman sat wide eyed at Sakura, she couldn't believe what she heard.

"We... We um... We're not. Probably not for a while," the woman blushed looking down. Sakura smirked at the woman, seeing how the topic made her feel.

"Oh. I just thought where you guys were dating that it would happen," Sakura shrugged.

"We will at some point. But not right now," Asa said. She now ended the conversation as she stood up, putting money down on the table.

"Let's go. I have a lot more work and I think Shizune has more to teach you for the day," Asa stated. The two left the tea shop and headed for the hospital again. It was like any other day, Asa worked on more paper work before checking a few of her patients. Then when her shift was over she would walk to the academy and meet Iruka outside the doors where they walked home together. It was a routine they were used to.
