Namikaze -Iruka Umino-

Chapter Nineteen

~Okay just to let you know. Somethings that I'm mentioning I haven't before. I'm adding in where Kurenai and Asa are friends. I added where Asa helped with Training Kurenai's team. I wanted to mention it in here. I might add in later something about training. I'm getting everything out. So I'm sorry if it's not the best writing. I will try to edit this when I'm completely done. The past few weeks had been tough for the shinobi. The Kazekage had been captured around the time that Naruto had made his appearance back in the Hidden Leaf village. Asa had been told that Naruto and his team was sent to save the young Kazekage. She worried of course, something that would never leave the woman. She always worried for the boy, he was the nine tails jinchuuriki after all.

Then a young man from the temple where the Guardian Shinobi Twelve came from had come to stay in the village, he was the holder of left over chakra from when the nine tails attacked sixteen years ago. The teen named Sora had differences with Naruto. The two did not see eye to eye. Asa had tried to reason with the Uzumaki, trying to make him see that the teen was like him. But they just had a hard time trying to get along.

Naruto and Sora then started training with Asuma. The Namikaze was happy to see the teen training with someone she knew, Asuma was kind to the woman. The two didn't talk much, him being about five years older than her. Kurenai was about the same, but Asa had gotten along with Kurenai. The two had been friends and during the time that Naruto was gone Asa had helped Kurenai with training her team.

Asa had walked to Kurenai's apartment. She noticed that during trainings she was having Asa interact more with her students. She was curious why the red eyed woman was having the Namikaze train more. So, the blond made her way up to the apartment floor where the jonin lived. When she got there Shikamaru stood in the door way with Kurenai on her knees crying.

This worried the twenty six year old chunin. She ran to the woman, slamming on her knees and taking the woman face in her hands. The look of confusion and worry showed in her blue eyes as they made eye contact.

"Asuma sensei... Is... He's dead," Shikamaru stammered. Asa turned her head to see the teens face blank, then she turned back to the crying Kurenai. Asa wrapped her arms around the woman, trying her best to comfort her. Asa would never know how this felt, she didn't want to know either. If Asa had lost Iruka she would lose her mind.

"I... I'm so sorry Kurenai," Asa said her arms still holding the crying woman. Asa had known that Asuma and Kurenai were together. One of the things they had taken about when there was down time the two shared. Asa pulled from the woman, helping Kurenai to her feet.

"I'll bring her inside," Asa told the young Nara teen. Shikamaru nodded before turning away from the door way. Asa helped her inside, holding onto the woman's arms as she was taken to her couch. The two sat down, Kurenai's head rested on Asa's shoulder as the two sat there.

Asa didn't know what to say to the woman, she didn't even know what to do other then run a comforting hand along the woman's back. She was trying to help the woman, Kurenai knew that Asa was there for her. The two had been getting close as friends, in their past they had been on missions together.

"Asa... I'm pregnant..." the woman trailed. Asa looked to the woman with wide eyes. She couldn't believe it.

"That's... Wonderful," Asa smiled, trying her best to show a strong face. The Namikaze was sad, upset to know that Asuma would never see their child.

"Yeah..." Kurenai went silent again.

"I'll be here for you Kurenai. Both Iruka and I," the Namikaze smiled. Kurenai looked to the blond, her brothers smile present on Asa's face. The woman could see how both Namikaze's were related.

"Thank you..."

From then on there was more heart break and trouble. The Akatsuki were moving more, collecting the tailed beasts. Asa had heard Tsunade and Jiraiya speaking of it. She kept quiet, not wanting to say anything. She was worried for Naruto. The blond could tell something big was going to happen, she just wasn't sure when.

The worst to happen to her family did. Jiraiya had been killed. The woman couldn't believe it. Naruto and Asa stood next to each other in Lady Tsunade's office. The toads from Mount Myoboku, Chief toad and Gamakichi were next to the Hokage building when they arrived there.

Asa stood in shock staring at Pa toad as she couldn't believe it. Naruto turned away from the group. Team Kakashi and Asa stood all together as they watched Naruto leave. Asa eyes started to tear up, she tried to her hardest not to cry. She needed to be strong and not show weakness.

Asa turned away from the group, she needed to leave. Asa rushed from the room, she heard Tsunade speak to Sakura but she ran from the building not wanting to speak. The woman rushed to the forest, she needed to be alone. Asa sat in the forest on the ground, her knees to her chest.

The woman cried, letting out all her emotions. She could see the happy memories the woman had with the Sannin. She remembered when her brother decided the name of her nephew. She remember Minato and Jiraiya talking about the character in his book. Asa remember standing in the kitchen, staring at the two talking.

Asa smiled at that memory. The one she was fond of, the one where she found out of her nephew's name. Asa had fallen asleep in the forest, her knees to her chest as she laid on the ground. Iruka had been told be Kakashi what happened, the man immediately went looking for the woman.

Iruka had found her sleeping, tear stained her puffy red face. The Umino sighed. His heart broke at the sight, the girl even sleeping had a sad look. Iruka leaned down picking up the small woman into his arms. He worried for the Namikaze, she had seen so many she loved die.

The brown haired male walked her from the forest she had hidden herself in and taken her back home. Once there Iruka walked into the house, it was silent. Iruka had walked to their bedroom, laying the woman down then covering her. He sat by her side, watching over her as she slept. Worry on his mind as he knew someone the two cared for was dead.
