(So right now I'm following the show but I'm skipping Naruto's training and going straight to the finial exam. There will be some time skips here and there. I hope you all are enjoying so far!)

The day of the final exam was here and Asa had to work. She was sent to a shift at the hospital and was unable to see Naruto's fight. The boy was upset but he knew that Asa was proud and believed in him. Iruka had to go work at the academy like normal. He was hoping to see Naruto fight, but as Naruto knew Iruka always believed in him.

As the exams began and Asa was working, checking on all the patients she silently hoped for Naruto to win. The woman knew her nephew would do fine, he might not have been bright but he was brave. The boy wanted to be a good ninja, Asa knew he would make a wonderful shinobi one day.

As time past and Asa made her rounds, she had this unsettling feeling. She felt like something would go wrong in any minute. As the woman passed a window where you were able to see the area she noticed smoke was coming from it. Asa rushed to the front desk to see medic nin's were escorting patients from their rooms and towards an underground passage.

"All patients please follow us!" Shouted a medic nin.

"Asa! We need help escorting people out," said a voice behind the woman. Asa turned her body looking to see another medical ninja. Asa nodded her head running to help the people around her. She ran to help the medics escort people, she went ahead to the underground entrance helped the ones that could walk.

The tunnels that went under the village led to a large area where the villagers could be safe when an evacuation is called. Asa rushed as many patients as she could, the woman silently prayed for Iruka and his students to be safe. She worried for everyone, the woman knew this was an attack on the village.

The Namikaze worked hard to protect and make sure the patients were safe. Then as the woman saw that all the patients were safe in the tunnels she ran to all the medics making sure they were all there. Asa sighed in relief as she seeing all of her co workers were with her. The woman could feel the area they were in shaking, something was happening, something bad and she knew it.

"Stay quiet guys!" the Namikaze shouted. Everyone stood close, the patients that couldn't walk were wheeled. They waited for hours, Asa stood guard of the patients.

'I hope Iruka's safe...' Asa thought.

"Stand guard. I have to make sure others were evacuated," Asa told one of the medics. The woman then ran off heading through the evacuation point. She caught up with Anko and the women and elders of the village. Asa nodded to the woman next to her as they walked side by side.

Running was heard in the tunnels as Asa saw Konohamaru running before he bumped in Ayame. Asa heard another set of feet running as she saw Iruka round the corner.

"So is the evacuation complete?" Iruka questioned.

"Yeah. This here is the last of them," Anko replied.

"The medical ward is here as well," Asa told the two.

"Huh, what are you talking about sensei?" Konohamaru asked the man. Asa looked up at Iruka, noticing the kids didn't know a thing.

"If the village is under attack then there is very specific guide lines that we have to follow," Iruka answered.

Anko spoke, "The first step is to wipe out the enemy forces, if that can't happen then we step things up to phase two."

"If we can't then we have to evacuate to safety. We have to move the women and children into shelters that are strategically hidden, then we have to continue to phase three," Asa then said.

"What's phase three?" Konohamaru questioned again.

"The elimination of the enemy by any means necessary."

"So then..." the boy trailed.

"Then we launch our counter attack," Iruka said looking straight at Asa. All the chunin and jonin knew of this plan, it was set for times like this. Iruka then took the kids back to where they were hiding as Asa turned to head back to the patients.

"Asa," called Iruka. The woman turned to her boyfriend with a raised eyebrow. Iruka pulled the girl into a hug, holding her close for a moment.

"Stay safe," The man whispered.

A smile spread across Asa's face, "You too, Iruka."

Then the pair parted, Asa headed for patients going to stand guard again. Iruka pulled Konohamaru back to where all the others were. She took her guard again, waiting for the message that they could leave.

The shaking had stopped and Iruka went to grab Asa. The enemy had left the village and everyone that was sent to the tunnels had left. Asa had gotten home with Iruka after helping the patients back into the hospital. When Asa got home Naruto laid on the couch with Sasuke standing over him.

"Sasuke," Asa greeted with a smile before seeing the condition Naruto was in. Asa rushed to the boy, feeling to see if he was alive.

"He used all his chakra," Sasuke answered her silent questioned. Asa sighed, happy to know the boy was okay. The Namikaze stood to her feet, she walked to the bathroom to get the first aid kit she had in there. When the woman got back she saw Naruto sitting up now, with Iruka sitting beside him.

The blond kneeled in front of the boy, cleaning up his cuts. She gave him a small smile, seeing how the boy looked down at his hands.

"I was worried about you. I'm glad your okay," Asa said to her nephew. The boy looked into her blue orbs, seeing the smile she wore, the same smile he gave. It was the same smile that the boys father had, the Namikaze blood ran through Naruto.

"I'm glad your okay Asa," Naruto grinned big.

Once Asa was done cleaning up his cuts, she ruffled his hair while a laugh escaped Iruka. Naruto stood up racing to his room as Asa put away the first aid kit before returning to Iruka who still sat on the couch. Iruka looked to Asa with a sad look, knowing that she had to tell Naruto.

All the village heard about the Hokage's death, Iruka had found out and when he went to Asa he told the girl. She had cried when he told her, the Hokage looked out for the girl after her brothers death. So, as the night went on and Asa laid in bed awake.

She stared up at the ceiling, not able to sleep because of the news. The next morning they would hold a service for the Hokage and the Namikaze was dreading it. Iruka opened his eyes to see the woman staring up at the ceiling, tears running down her face.

"Hey..." Iruka trailed turning to his side. The Umino wiped Asa's tears from her face with a sad smile. Asa cried more, burying her head into his chest. For the rest of the night she cried until she had finally fallen asleep. It pained Iruka to see her this way again, it was like when her brother died. When the girl first found out Iruka had stayed with her that night as she cried.

Now as he holds her again, he's reminded of that night. That night was when the two became even closer of friends.
