After what felt like days, Asa's eyes opened as the paper like substance fell from her body. The woman looked around to see others with her. Everyone looked relieved and excited that they were freed.
When the war ended and all the shinobi returned home, Asa waited patiently in the house. Her hands was clasped together in her lap as she stared at the wall. Her back to the door way as she sat on the couch. Lost in her thoughts she didn't hear Iruka walk into the house.
The man walked in the room where she sat, blond hair tied up, back to him. The male smiled, joy ran through him as he saw her safe. Iruka walked forward, placing a hand onto the woman's should. The action jolted her out of the trance she was in.
Asa got up as quick as she could, her blue eyes wide as she stared at Iruka. His large grin on his face. The woman smiled back, walking around the couch to embrace the man she loved. She held onto the Umino tight as tears ran down her face.
Iruka pulled away, wiping the tears from her eyes as he looked at her. Asa lifted her head to meet his gaze, a smile on her face.
"I was... So worried," whispered Asa. Her heart was pounding in her face from the happiness she felt. Being able to hold the man she loved in her arms.
"I'm home now," Iruka whispered back. His head leaning in, Asa leaned forward pressing her lips to his. She enjoyed the moment, the feel of his lips, the warmth from his arms. The joy in her heart.

When everyone returned home, a mass funeral was held for those lost in battle. Asa and Iruka stood next to each other, mourning the loss of fallen friends. The woman looked towards the ground. There after she visited Naruto.
The woman scolded Naruto when she saw the boy was missing his arm. Naruto smiled at the scolding, he could see his mother in the woman, the same scolding he used to get as a child. As thing started to progress, Asa saw how the boy really changed in the young man he is. The man she always wished her brother could see.
Asa was just glad to have the boy back. She worried for the both Iruka and Naruto, they were her family. Asa for days would visit Naruto while he was recovering.
Asa was in the house, laying on the couch as she heard someone walk in. Iruka looked down at the woman lying on her back. Asa smiled at the male, her arm stretched out for help up. Iruka noticed this and pulled the woman up, so she was now sitting up.
"During the war... When we were all encased in that tree, what did you see?" the woman asked. Iruka looked away, he saw a life with Asa. A life that they were living now, but with his parents alive.
"My uh... My parents, you, our family," Iruka answered rubbing the back of his neck, "What about you?"
"Our family. Naruto, you, my brother, Kushina. The life I always wished- no dreamed of," Asa replied looking up at Iruka. The man had teary eyes, as he saw the sad look on her face.
Asa pulled the male into a hug, her arms wrapped around his waist as she buried her face into his chest. Iruka wrapped his arms around her back, resting his head onto hers as he heard Asa's slight sobbing noise.
"Let's go get Naruto and eat Ramen," Iruka said pulling away from Asa. The woman looked up, her bright blue eyes shining as she smiled at the man. Ramen was one of her favorite foods like her nephew's.
The pair left the house and walked to the academy where Iruka had left Naruto earlier. Asa waved the man off to go grab Naruto as she wasn't that fast at walking. She waited outside the academy as the pair of males walked out of the building.
Asa smiled as she walked up to pair, hugging the blond boy with a smile before wrapping an arm around Iruka's.
"The real question is what topping should I choose and how many?" pondered Naruto.
"Haha, hey don't get carried away alright," laughed Iruka. Asa noticed Naruto had stopped and was staring at the old swing he used to sit on. The woman looked over her shoulder at the boy, stopping as well which caught Iruka's attention.
"It's all thanks to you Iruka-sensei," Naruto said still looking at the swing.
"What is?" Iruka questioned.
"Don't you remember way back then. Well That night you acknowledged me when I run wild. But the words you spoke that night, they completely changed me. Thank you for that Iruka-sensei," Naruto explained. Asa smiled, looking to the Unimo who started to tear up, then as he started to cry, Iruka turned away from the two bonds.
"Okay that does it! Just today you can get all the toppings you want," he said.
"Yeah alright! Awesome!" Naruto perked up. Asa laughed as She wrapped her arm around Iruka's again as the trio walked to the ramen shop. On the way Naruto told the woman of his time in the war.
Asa wished she was able to be there and to fight with her friends, she hated being here in the village. But as she walked and listened to the stories the boy told her, she was glad that the boy made it out safe. The world was going to be in peace again.
Her children would be born in a world of peace. A world she hadn't known until now.
