Chapter 5: Affected

"So this will be the profit our company gain by collaborating with Mr. Sharma's company. I suggest we must gross into their company history before initiating the deal. Will that be fine sir?"  Asked one of the staff members who was giving his presentation.

"Sir?"  He asked again getting no reaction from Aditya who was into deep thinking.

"Sir?" This time Aditya did come back to reality. Aditya was very stressed and disturbed. In a room occupied with lots of people , he only found himself lost in other world.

He looked around only to be surrounded by people who were waiting for him to reply confused not aware of the chaos in his mind.

He quickly composed himself. "Iam sorry , yes tell me Mr. Kapoor ."

Today's Morning was not easy for Aditya Hooda . How much ever he tried to forget about last night, he got himself into much deeper thinking. The mere thought of Zoya Siddiqui caused him an adrenaline rush. He cursed himself for it.

"It'll all go, it's just a stupid attraction" this was the only sentence he kept recalling whenever he thought about it .

The meeting got over . He went to his cabin and got busy in his work . Luckily he did concentrate on his work. But the luck wasn't in his favour for much long. Not until he got a call. He picked it up.

"Good morning Love."

This brought a smile on Aditya's face. He felt at peace and relaxed hearing it .

"Good morning baby. Woke up now ?"

"Yeahhh. Had a tiring night adi"

Hmm. If you want you can take rest baby. I'll come and check up on you at evening."

"Oh I wish adi but I have an important meeting today. I got a call last night. People are impressed by my work. Many events jammed up you know."
Aditya felt proud hearing this.

"It's all because of your hard work my love. You totally deserve it. I know how much you've waited for last night."  Pooja smiled.

"Not only me adi, I had a back. My all time supporter... my Zoya." 

This was enough for Aditya's smile to fade away. He stayed silent.

"You know adi she was the one who gave me ideas . We planned things over phone. I'm so lucky to have her as a friend."

Aditya was completely silent now .

"Adi ? You there ?"

"Yeah."

Pooja started talking about how her today's day would be . She started talking about other things casually. Aditya again seemed lost. Why does this happen every time ? Why can't I stay normal whenever her topic arrives?
His thoughts were interrupted by Pooja's scream..
"oh my god !!! Shit how can I forget?" 

"What happened?"

"Adi , Zoya's important official papers are here with me. She by mistake left her papers with me . She said me in call last night. I said her that today I'll give it to her. She's out on a site now and will only be free by evening . And I have too much of work load here. How will I manage .. god ! Tomorrow's her meeting she'll need it tomorrow before meeting. What do I do?"
