Chapter 8: Friends

"Can we be friends ?"

Zoya looked at him surprised. She didn't expect him to say this. Not that she doesn't want him to be her friend but seeing Aditya's behaviour towards her since she met him made her think that he's not comfortable around her.

"Zoya.. can we be friends?" Aditya asked again .

"Aditya .. I.."

"Please Zoya. I want to compensate for what I have done. Please let me... can we be friends? I'm not forcing you but I really want you to accept this friendship."

"You don't need to compensate anything Aditya. What you did today was more than anything. I don't need any proof for that."  Zoya smiled .
Aditya just looked at her.
Zoya gave her hand forward. Aditya looked at her confusingly .

"Friends."  Zoya said while smiling. Aditya felt an immense joy inside his heart. He too extended his hands for a handshake.
"Friends." He said smiling .

Aditya Hooda was literally acting like a teenager who was smiling stupidly without any reason. He was really happy. He felt as if a heavy weight was lightened from his heart.

"So now as we're friends , I want you to have dinner with us." Zoya said smiling widely.

"Sure Zoya." Aditya gave her a heartwarming smile.

Noor came downstairs by that time. Zoya went towards her .
"Noor... how are you now ?"

"I'm fine Appi." Noor said silently.

Zoya noticed her pain. It was obvious after  the incident happened with her she couldn't act normal for sometime. For few days atleast. It was her good luck that Aditya came and saved her on time .

"Noor ... come have dinner ."

"Appi I'm not in mood to eat. I just came here to be with you. She then felt Aditya still standing there.

Aditya thank you once again. I'm forever grateful to you. Thanks a lot Adi bhaiya." She had tears in her eyes.

"How could I not come ? Didn't I tell you I'll come for my sister whenever she's in trouble. See ... your brother came for you today. He'll always be by your side Noor."  Noor's eyes welled up. She immediately hugged him. Zoya too got emotional. She was equally surprised seeing how close they are to each other but was happy. It was an adorable moment.

She saw Aditya's eyes which were watery. She was touched by the bond they shared. Aditya looked at her . She nodded blinking her eyes giving assurance as everything is fine.

"But there's one problem . I'll only accept your thanks if you eat food with us". Aditya said .

Noor thought for a minute.

"Okay adi Bhaiya ."  She agreed. Zoya was surprised seeing how easily Aditya convinced her to eat. Though she wasn't a small child she was a great fashion designer after all but the situation today turned her down.
Zoya was really happy.

"Aditya I actually made brownie today. But today Noor is not in a mood to eat. So I'll pack this for Arjun . Anyways Noor said she won't eat much. Right Noor?" Zoya said teasingly to lighten the atmosphere.

She didn't get answer from Noor so she further added .. "okay I'll just go and pick now ."
She had just turned to kitchen with the plate she found Noor right in front of her . Don't know with what speed she ran towards her.
