Chapter 9: Inexorable

There's always a saying. Whatever happens, happens for a reason. The feelings and situation Aditya is going through is for a reason but he is unaware of it. He's not even able to recognise himself . Was he the same Aditya anymore ?

It was morning and Anjana did not allow Aditya to go to office. She wanted him to take rest. She was sticking to her decision and Aditya couldn't help but stay back. He was getting motherly care since he woke in the morning !

Maa I'm fine. You're treating me like a kid.

So? You'll always be a kid to me. Anjana said feeding soup to her son.

By the way adi , did you talk to Pooja ? She called me in the morning.

Aditya looked at his phone which was switched off.
No Maa I haven't . I'll speak to her soon.

Talk soon beta . She seemed so worried. Zoya told her everything.

I will Maa. Aditya said looking down.

Anjana noticed the sorrow in his face. She touched his cheeks.
Adi, beta ... is everything fine?

Yes Maa. Don't worry I'm Fine. Aditya smiled.
Anjana was not satisfied . She was worried for him. She knows her son. Anyway she didn't want to poke him further. When time comes he'll himself tell her.

Okay now take rest. Call me or victor if you need anything. She smiled and went from his room.

Aditya was feeling quite weak. Staying at home wasn't a bad decision after all. He slept again.
Half of the day passed and he was still sound sleeping. His eyes then opened . He saw the time it was 3'o clock in the noon. He was surprised but also quite happy as he got to sleep for hours after a very long time. He then took his phone which he had already kept on charge before sleeping . There were 30 missed calls from Pooja . He weakly smiled. He called her . With one ring she picked the call.

Adi, baby how are you? What happened ? How come all this? Iam getting worried baby. Like I didn't even know all that happened ... Pooja said weeping.

Aditya couldn't see her crying.
My love, I'm fine. Completely fine. Don't worry. I don't like when you cry. You know your tears are my weakness. Please baby ...

I'm coming there adi.

Pooja it's okay. Don't think much and concentrate on your office work. We shall meet at evening . I'll come to your place.

No Adi.

Pooja , Don't worry. Alright?  We'll meet in evening .
Aditya was constantly trying to make her understand. He didn't want to trouble her .

What if I kiss you now . Will that make you feel better and focus on your work? Aditya said lightening her mood.

What if I take that kiss in person. Pooja said .

Aditya felt her voice echoing. He then turned to check his phone when he saw her standing in front of him with Tears in her eyes. It was unexpected for Aditya to make out that it's Pooja for sometime . He was surprised by her presence. Pooja never compromises her work. She would generally meet him during evenings either at her home or somewhere out but the whole day she devotes herself to work. And today, she left everything and came for him.

Pooja how come you... you had a very important meeting right . Aditya said sitting properly in his bed .

Pooja ran towards him and hugged him tightly . She was crying badly. Aditya was feeling bad for her. He can bare anything but not her tears. He gently stroked her hair. He withdrew from the hug and held her face.
