Chapter 34: Shattered

It was half past ten at night and Aditya still didn't show up at home. Anjana and harshawardhan were worried. They tried calling him but his phone was not reachable. Just then they saw Arjun entering home . He was surprised to see his parents sitting on couch rather than sleeping.

"Mom , dad ? What's wrong? You didn't sleep?" Arjun went towards them. Anjana and harshwardhan didn't worry much about him as he informed them earlier that he'll be late.

"Adi is still not home . We couldn't connect him through phone. We tried calling you but you didn't answer our calls either." Harshwardhan said.

"Sorry dad I left my phone in cabin. Had a really important case to attend." Arjun said.

"I'm getting worried Harsh. Don't know where our Adi is . Something is definetly wrong." Anjana said .

"I've informed police Anjana . They're working on it." Harshawardhan said.

"Dad why did you inform police ? You know what's going on in bhai's life right? Maybe he need some space. Remember when you both used to fight he used to come late at night. I'll go now and find him." Arjun said.

"I know that beta . But this time it's different. My heart says something is really wrong." Anjana said staring at space.

"I'll get bhai safely back home . That's a promise." Arjun said assuring her mom. Not wasting a second he went out of home in search of Aditya.

"Your eyes spoke volumes and I couldn't help but get melt into them. You affected me so much Aditya ... so much"
Aditya stopped the car at side of an empty road as his mind was occupied with Zoya's words.

He took off his seatbelt and laid back on his head rest closing his eyes.

"Aapko hume nahi... kismat ka Shukriya karna chahiye. Kismat ne hi hume milwaya ... warna hum kabhi nahi milte."

"Humari har dhadkan main aap basen hain.... humari rooh rooh nahi kehlati jab aap humare saath na ho toh. Agar Kabhi aisa waqt aya jab humen apni jaan bhi deni padhe aapke liye toh hum woh bhi de denge"

"Hum humesha aapse Bepannaah mohabbat karenge..."

Aditya opened his red eyes which were blurred with tears.

"Tum mere saath aisa nahi kar sakti Zoya .... tum aisa nah kar sakti." Aditya said.
"Main tumhe jaanta Hun. Zaroor kuch toh baat hai... ya toh tum sab jaan bujhkar kar rahi ho ya koi tumse ye karwa raha hai." He wiped his tears.

He was not ready to believe what he saw and heard a while ago. He was numb and couldn't respond to the situation. Zoya's love is pure for him. She can never think of playing with his heart. She was his only source of living, it's only her who can save him from this torturous life. She was his solace, his pure love. She can never think of doing this to him. 

But the way she smirked and laughed, that made it question his confidence and trust.

"Soch lijiye Aditya... aapko sirf tabaahi milegi.."

"Aakhir aap tabaah ho hi gaye na Aditya.... kar hi liya na pyaar"

He again recollected her words.

"Agar ye baat sach hui na Zoya .... toh main sach main tabaah ho jaunga. Aur iss bar ishq main nahi .... balki iss bar meri zindagi tabaah ho jayegi." He said to himself.

"Par main ye baat apne dil main nahi rakh sakta . Mujhe tumse baat karni hi hogi iss bare mein." He soon started the engine and drove off to her home.
