Chapter 43: Bliss

People were slowly vacating the lawn. Aditya and Zoya were lost in their own emotions. They kept gazing each other with heavy heart. He deeply looked into her eyes. It held nothing but pure love. A love which faced so many sacrifices for him , a love which was true enough to let him go just for the sake of his comfort and happiness , a love which was even ready to die for him. How much more will he fall for her? It broke and made him proud of his love at the same time.

"Zoya...."

Zoya closed her eyes feeling the moment as she heard his voice after so long. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She finally felt peaceful.

Aditya came to her and stood close watching her emotionally. She opened her eyes to find him close to her . Tilting her head she saw him ....capturing every single feature of his face through her eyes. Nothing changed in him except the sorrow his eyes held. She could feel the pain of his heart.

"Aditya...."

Aditya smiled emotionally as he heard that soothing voice. They couldn't find proper words to communicate. Their eyes were the only medium.

Not breaking the gaze he slowly intertwined their fingers and slightly pulled her towards him . Zoya didn't feel any movement as she was so much driven into emotions. They stood close. The lawn was empty , wind blew and they could only listen to their racing heartbeat in this dead silence.

Zoya never imagined Aditya to be here. She thought Aditya would have moved on, would have started new life . But here he was , all messed up and broken in front of her .... who craved for nothing but love. She saw the need for her in his eyes , the struggle , the pain , everything. And there she couldn't hold herself. She burst out crying . She tightened the hold of their hands while looking down. This was enough for Aditya to loose himself too. He immediately held her face with the other hand and made her look at him.

"Zoya..." he whispered . Tears weren't stopping . He brought her face closer to his. She looked at him with so much love and held his hand which was tracing her cheek. Crying out their hearts they joined their foreheads.

"Bas aur nahi .... ab aur nahi. Ab aur mat tadpana mujhe... aur nahi ." Aditya whispered. Their eyes were closed . Zoya bit her lips trying hard to suppress her cries.

"Aditya...."

"Shhhh... kuch mat kaho Zoya . Itne mushkil se mili ho . Bahut kuch kehna hai, bahut kuch sunna hai ...par iss lamhe ko mehsoos karne do, sukoon ko mehsoos karne do ....tumhe mehsoos karne do" Aditya said in a low tone which made her more emotional.

They stayed like that for a while , feeling each other's presence , absorbing each other's aura with their eyes closed. It didn't take long for Zoya to realise their haunting past. Pooja and Rehaan's face flashed in front of her. She immediately jerked back.

"Nahi..." She said making Aditya even more upset. Her behaviour didn't surprise him because he knew she feared their past.

"Aditya ... aap... aap please chale jaiye yahan se." Zoya said sniffing . She kept moving back.

"Humara saath kab ka chooth gaya Aditya . Please chale jaiye warna aapke saath bahut bura .... matlab ... acha nahi hoga." Zoya said trying to sound normal. Aditya looked down getting hurt. He was not hurt because Zoya was asking him to go ... he was hurt for how Zoya was still protecting him from everything. She was unaware about all the happenings after she left.

Aditya cautiously took a step forward.
"Zoya... mujhe tumse bahut zaroori baat kehni hai . Main..."

"Aditya please .." she cried . "Ye nahi ho sakta Aditya. Aap hume bhool jaiye." Saying this Zoya walked away from him. She wanted to get away from him. She thought if Pooja and Rehaan comes to know this they won't spare Aditya. She already saw him loose his memory and now if she let him stay , something worse will happen with Aditya. So she backed off and walked away from him. Tears didn't stop . She can't let this happen. They were not meant for each other.
