Chapter 40: Agony

"Ab inhi ki kami thi." Pooja rolled her eyes looking at Arjun and Noor.

Aditya for a minute couldn't say a word . He was still shaken with all the facts he got to know. He then remembered the time he confronted Zoya .

He remembered the words he said to Zoya in elevator.
"Phir kyun aisa lagta hai ki hum dono ek doosre ko pehle se jaante ho ? Kyun aisa lagta hai ki hum dono ki qismat ek doosre se judi hai?"

He also remembered what he said on terrace.
"Pata hai Zoya ... jab maine tumhe pehli baar dekha... toh mujhe laga ki hum dono ka kuch na kuch rishta hai. Aisa laga ki kuch raabta hai humara. Isiliye shayad main tumhari taraf kheecha chala aa raha tha."

He also remembered how Zoya used to get soft when he said all these.

"Isiliye ... Isiliye main Zoya ko apne man se bhula nahi paa raha tha... Isiliye mujhe laga ki hum dono ka kuch rishta pehle se hi tha..."Aditya whispered .
"Aur pyaar? ....Pyaar toh pehle se hi tha.... pehle se hi tha..." tears trickled down his cheeks.

Noor and Arjun looked sadly at him.

"Zoya mujhe pehle se hi pyaar karti thi. Usne mujhse jo bhi kaha wo sach tha, woh jazbaat sach the , woh pyaar bhare lamhe sach the ..." tears welled up in his eyes .
"Usne jaan bujhkar mujhe apne se door bheja taaki mujhe aur mere parivar par koi aanch na aaye"

"Sahi kaha Aditya . Bahut pyaar karti hai woh tumse." Pooja smirked.

Aditya realised how much Zoya loves him and that moment he fell even harder for her. She did all this just to keep him and his family safe.

"And also ... I added lot of  drugs in your drinks whenever we used to meet so that you don't remember things . Because comparatively Zoya got hurt the most and there was possibility that your memory could come back. So we didn't want to take risk ." Pooja said . Aditya , Arjun and Noor were shaken to ground .
Further she added "hypertension drugs, anxiety drugs , sleeping pills , depressant drugs ...ufff what not. We gave you a complete mixture of all these so that you don't remember a single thing of your so called life with Zoya ." Arjun stumbled back. Aditya was shattered to pieces.

"We already made a deal that once we get the papers Zoya will go away from you. And all that anger she should on you on terrace was my idea. That was your last meeting with her. She didn't listen to me first... so we had to torture her." Rehaan said.

"We bet her number of times, we tortured her whenever she used to cross us. She used hide those marks from you and when she started meeting you often , we started torturing her less so that you don't get any doubt when you see her." Pooja said.

Arjun and Noor were burning with anger. Aditya's condition couldn't be expressed. He was ready to kill them tonight.

"We gave her a nice training to pretend to be happy and normal. She's a quick learner I must say . That's why she acted as if she was finding your behaviour odd and not affected with it. She pretended to have control over her emotions . She pretended to be formal with you."

"That night at the party when you saw her for the first time , she cried a lot after coming home. God that woman." Pooja said shaking her head.

"But at times she is a bad girl you know . One day she tried to ditch us and tell you everything. She saved Anjana and Harshawardhan from my shot that day not bothering about our orders. Remember when she came to your home and gave you life lessons? That's what I'm talking about . The day when she united you with family. Ah that was not in our plan and she went against our plan. We didn't have any option other than blackmailing her and smacking her hard. We even gave her a shock treatment. That's when she was back on track." 
Pooja said further .
