Chapter 33: Revelation

It was night and Anjana came to her room. She saw Harshwardhan sitting on chair lost in deep thoughts. She knew what exactly he was thinking. He seemed very uncomfortable. She slowly came and sat beside him.

"Iam a bad father " He spoke . She looked at him but didn't say anything.

"Adi has done the exact thing which I have done years ago. The same mistake." He said.

"Harsh.."

"No Anjana let me speak. You know I've seen the same guilt in Adi's face today. I could clearly read his face. He seemed scared , he felt guilty.... he is broken Anjana." He said .
"And I' couldn't see the same thing repeating again . That's why I just couldn't stay there for long. It reminds me of my mistake."

Anjana was looking down feeling hurt. He looked at her .

"I'm sorry Anjana. I'm really sorry... maybe I am responsible for this." He said sadly.

"Don't blame yourself harsh." She said holding his hands.

"Adi never seemed like the person who could cheat. But it happened. Maybe his equation with Pooja didn't work out ... but that doesn't mean he will cheat on her. He should've atleast ended things with her. That's my only point." Anjana said worrying.

Harshwardhan decided to talk to him.

Next morning Pooja was getting ready for office. She spoke to her parents last night about what happened between her and Aditya . Her parents asked her to deny his request. She kept thinking about it. Soon she heard the doorbell. Thinking it to be her assistant she came downstairs. The maid opened the door and Pooja was surprised to see them. It was Noor and Arjun. She walked upto them crossing her arms. They hesitantly looked at her.

"Come in . Have a seat." She said with a stern voice.
They soon settled on the couch and she asked her maid to get them water.

"So ... tell me . What is it?" She asked .

"Pooja ... we're really sorry for ..." Arjun said.

"Oh you came for that. Look I don't need your sorries to be honest." Pooja didn't let Arjun speak.

"Pooja we didn't know the reality. We wholeheartedly apologise for thinking you to be a suspicious one and we regret what we have done." Noor said.

"You know I trusted you guys so much. I thought atleast you people are going on the right track. But that day when you questioned my character , I was disappointed with you both. You hired an agent to follow me? What do I seem like , a villain? Don't you think you should've done such thing for your siblings? You knew everything didn't you? And still you supported them and planned to defame me?" Pooja frowned.

"No pooja that was not our intention trust me . We did what we saw ... We had no idea about your disease." Arjun said .

"Please don't be loud . My family doesn't no anything about my condition yet." Pooja said looking around the hall if anyone heard Arjun.

They both stayed quiet . Guilt was clearly visible on their face. Pooja saw it . She shouldn't react this way with them. Their siblings are at fault , not them. She sighed and said .

"Forget it. Maybe it was my fault somewhere too. My actions gave you wrong conceptions. You didn't know about my condition so it's obvious to get doubts . So what you both did can be considerable. Let's just forget it."
Pooja said.
