"Hey Nino!"
Nino turned around, now coming face-to-face with his extremely enthusiastic-looking girlfriend. At the moment, Alya had a sort of smug-and-superior type of expression on her face, which, to be honest, Nino actually found kind of attractive.
"Can we talk of a sec? Just the two of us, alone? Its important" she said.
"We're already alone. Adrien's bodyguard just came and took him home" Nino told her. He was curious as to what was this "important" thing she wanted to tell him.
"Alright then. Also, speaking of Adrien, what I'm about to tell you regards him, only he can't find out about it, got that?" said Alya urgently. Nino nodded, making a mental checklist of everything she was telling him. However, he had no clue where his beloved girlfriend was going with this.
"You've realized that Marinette and Adrien don't get along at all, right? Well, guess what, I know exactly what to do about it!" squealed Alya enthusiastically "It'll be awesome!"
"Uhh...okay. And?" Nino said, feeling stupid.
"I've got a brilliant plan, Nino! A plan to make the two of them get along at last!" whispered Alya with a triumphant smile "Or rather...a plan to make the two of them fall in love"
"What!?" asked Nino shrilly, trying and failing to hide his shock "That's impossible!"
"We'll make it possible. Just look at this" said Alya with full confidence as she pulled out her phone and showed it to Nino.
"No way!" he exclaimed incredulously "You actually recorded it!?"
"Yes, I did" she smirked "We can use this video to blackmail them, obviously, into being nice to each other. If they don't listen, we'll post it online and if they do listen to us....well, they'll definitely fall in love."
"And how are you so sure?" asked Nino, uncharacteristically skeptical.
"Because that's what happens in so many of the romance novels! The hero and the heroine hate each other, but fate brings them closer and eventually they fall in love and live happily ever after!" she said as though it was the most obvious fact in the world. Nino rolled his eyes.
"For someone so smart and sensible, you sure can be clueless..." Nino sighed exasperatedly "That's just fiction. It's not too likely to happen in real life. Exactly how would they fall in love?"
"Because I've got it all planned out" Alya replied a bit indignantly "I told Ms.Bustier to make Marinette tutor Adrien"
"....and she agreed? Just like that?" asked Nino.
"Obviously not. I had to say a bunch of things to convince her into thinking that I had no hidden motives whatsoever, you know how suspicious she can be. I said that Adrien is doing horribly in all the subjects and that I think he might need a tutor" Alya explained "She asked me who I'd suggest and I said it should be Marinette"
"And what did she say about your suggestion?"
"She said it sounded like a good idea"
"Okay, so we bring them together. How about the whole 'fall in love' part?" Nino asked his girlfriend, whose sanity he was beginning to question.
"Isn't it obvious? We'll make them fall in love!" said Alya with a smirk forming at her lips.She noticed that Nino, unfortunately, was still visibly clueless.
"What? You want me to make a step-by-step instruction guide on that? Because if so, it'll probably take a lot of time" she said.
"This whole process is gonna take a lot of time" her boyfriend pointed out. Spoiler alert; he was definitely not wrong.
