Amy's pov

I didn't sleep well, but at least Abbie did. I looked over and saw that Tyler was up. I got out of Abbie's hold and got out of the car. Tyler followed.

"Good morning." He smiled at me.

"How did you find us?"

"I'm a cop, tracking people is my specialty."

"So, I'm guessing you are a rebel cop?"

"You don't belong in custody. The charges on you are bull shit. You were so young you didn't know any better."

"Are you talking about the can of soup?"

He nodded his head yes. I folded my arms trying to keep warm as I looked around.

"How screwed are we?" I asked looking back at him.

"Fucked, but we will help you. Mark is working on showing the rest of the team that you are innocent. If he can't convince them, he will still continue to help you."

"I have some cash, it's not much but."

"No, we don't want your money. To be honest we want this fucking gang caught."

"I don't know much about them, they always had masks on over their faces and spoke with broken English. They sounded like their accents were forced. One found me when I was Abbie's age. He got me to follow him the same way he almost did with Abbie. Dad decked him and had me run. I ran to the treehouse. That's our safe house."

He nodded his head yes, "there might be a time where we will handcuff you. Our boss is watching. You can either play along or put up a hell off a fight. We will go easy on you."

"You hurt Abbie and I will deck you for real. Remember who my parents are." I felt my eyes turn into stone.

He put his hands up showing me he means no harm.

"Mark is on his way, he found a couple more of the bad guys and is waiting for backup so they can take them."

He slowly put his arms down.

"I mean it, I will end you if you hurt her. She doesn't know anything about our parents and I want it to stay that way."

"I will do my best. Did you get a burner phone?"

"Yeah."

"Let me see it."

I hesitated but he has been helping us, I handed it over he turned it on then did something on it.

"I put my number in if you need anything call me. I will be close but still."

"Thank you." I took my phone back.

"Amy?" Abbie opened the door hitting me in the butt.

"I'm here, I am not leaving you." I turned around.

"Who are you?" She looked up at Tyler.

"A friend of Mark's, how did you sleep?" He changed his tone, it's now soft and even more friendly.

"Who is dat?" She looked at me.

"The Officer Who has been watching over us."

"Ohhhhh."

"You hungry?" He asked us.

"I can eat." Abbie smiled.

"Thank you but no, we need to keep going," I said.

"If Mark finds out that I didn't feed you guys he will have my head. I insist."

"Why do I feel like it's more of a forcing then insisting?"
