The fight

Amy's pov

We had to find a place to stay at night; we were all too tired to go any further.

"Come on." Mark said, picking me up. "We need to keep going."

"Where can she be?" I asked weakly.

"We will find her."

"But what if we don't?" I started to cry. "She is so small and so frail, I should have trained her better. I was so worried about her having a childhood that I might have just killed her."

"No, she is still alive. Amy, she is your sister and if she is anything like you, which we know she is, she is strong and a hell of a fighter. She is out here and we will find her alive and safe."

"I failed my parents, they trusted me to keep her safe."

"You failed no one. I know this is a difficult time but look, we will get her and you will have her back in your arms again."

I nodded my head but I still felt like shit. I am her older sister, I am to protect her from all of this bull shit and I didn't.

Mark kept me in his arms as we kept walking. The sun started to rise behind us after a good hour of walking.

"Hey look!" Tyler said. "Red paint on a tree!"

Mark rushed over to the tree with me still in his arms.

"Maybe she found it and she is there!" I perked up.

We headed the way of the trees. After about half way of following I heard her voice.

"MARK! AMY!"

I wiggled out of Mark's arms and ran to the sound of her voice.

"ABBIE!" I screamed as I ran.

I heard Mark and Tyler running behind me.

"AMY?"  It was Abbie, I know it is.

When we got through the large bush I saw Abbie standing next to a tree, she looked terrified.

"Abbie, oh my god you are okay." I felt the tears pouring from my eyes as I ran to her.

I went to hug her but I saw that she had rope wrapped around her.

"Scary people found me, they tied me here, they said that they will be back." She said through her tears.

"I am going to get you out of here." Mark pulled out a knife and cut the rope from the tree.

Abbie pushed the rope off of her and clung onto me.

"Let's get the hell out of here." I said holding on to her.

"What did the scary men look like?" Tyler asked as we rushed around from that area.

"They looked like dad."

Shit, they did find her and tricked her.

"I got you, they will leave you alone." I said.

"Where is the way out of here?" Abbie asked looking around.

I looked around and saw nothing but trees.

Tyler pulled his phone out as he was talking, "I set up a point on the map, the car we can't use but i am thinking that Mark's car will still be there."

I pulled the little stuff animal that I got for Abbie from my pocket,

"Look Abbie, I saw this and thought you would like it." I showed her.

"Puppy." She said, taking it from me and holding it smiling, "Thank you."

I held her close to me as we kept running, we needed to take some breaks from running but we stayed together watching each other's back.
