Amy's pov

Why did I do that? Why did I kiss him back? I don't have room for a boyfriend, I need to make sure Abbie is safe. She is where my energy needs to be used at.

"Breathe, you have been staring the wall for 15 minutes now." Mark said.

"Sorry, just thinking." I shook my head then went and checked on Abbie doing her school work.

"Amy, I'm hungry." She said as I sat down next to her.

"What would you like to eat?" I asked.

"Meatloaf!"

"Meatloaf! I don't know where I am going to be able to find that. There is no oven to cook it."

"Can we have it when we go back home?"

"Of course! I will make it with all of the fixes."

"Yay! Can I have Wendy's now then?"

"I can have Tyler pick it up." Mark said.

"I can pay you guys for it." I said looking at him.

"I'm actually hungry myself, but no need."

"Can I get a frosty?" Abbie looked up at me smiling.

"I will give you extra money for a frosty please." I looked at Mark.

He pulled his phone out and called someone.

"Hey Tyler," he said, "can you stop at Wendy's and get us food? I can text you the order."

There was a slight pause then he smiled.

"Thank you so much."

He ended the call then started the text,

"What would you like?" He asked me.

"Just a normal burger and some fries please." I said looking back at Abbie.

"May I please have a kid's meal? Chicken nuggets please!" Abbie said looking at Mark.

"One chicken nugget kid's meal with a frosty coming up."

"Thank you." I said.

"Thank you!" Abbie said smiling ear to ear.

"It's no problem, food should be here in like 45 minutes or so."

"Any, I need help with my homework. Math is hard." Abbie said waving her math homework in my face.

"Okay. Let me see."

After a half an hour there was a knock on the door. I held onto Abbie close to me as Mark got up, he looked out of the peep-hole.

"It's okay, it's Tyler." He said opening the door.

I still kept my hold on Abbie, I can't put my guard down.

"Hey." Tyler said as he walked in.

Mark hurried up and closed the door behind Tyler.

"Hi Tyler!" Abbie said waving at him.

"Hi Abbie, I have a frosty here that I believe belongs to you." He held up a cup.

"Thank you! But I must eat my dinner first before I can enjoy that. Right Amy?" She looked up at me.

"That is right." I smiled at her.

Tyler put the frosty in the freezer then handed me her kid's meal.

"Thank you." I said.

"Thank you Mark, thank you Tyler!" Abbie said jumping up and down in her seat.
