Amy's pov

"Amy, I am so sorry." Tyler said for almost the 100th time.

"Tyler, saying sorry is not going to bring her back. I know you told her to run. This is not your fault." I said, walking farther into the woods.

"How did she get this far?" Mark asked.

"She can run, that is one thing I made sure she knew how to do. Run and hide." I said.

"Where would she run and hide too?"

I didn't answer; I knew where she would go. To a tree house. But did Dad put one out here? I need to find the red paint on some trees.

"Amy, you need to sit down for a little. Your body is shaking." Mark said, wrapping his arms around me.

"I need to find her. It is getting cold out here and it's getting dark as well."

"We will find her, but you need to breathe. If you get worked up then you will not be able to see or think right."

"You're right." I closed my eyes, "She just has to be so scared and I promised my parents that I would keep her safe."

"She is safe, I can feel it."

"We need to find her, if she doesn't have a blanket she will freeze to death."

Mark let me go and we kept walking.

"How far do you think she has gone?" Tyler asked.

"I don't know, she can be anywhere." I said looking up in the trees.

"You think she is in a treehouse." Mark said low.

"I am hoping that she found one."

He started to look up.

We have walked all night. There is no sun left, just the moon showing us the pathway of the woods.

"She has to be cold, hungry and scared." I said getting really worried.

"She is strong and brave just like her sister." Mark said.

It is getting colder by the minute, if she doesn't have a blanket or something warm around her, she will freeze to death tonight. I closed my eyes taking a few deep breaths.

"Let's face it, when we find her we will be so far behind." I said, "We killed Soran, his people will be after us. I am surprised that they haven't found us yet."

"You killed Soran?" Tyler asked.

"We had too." I said, opening my eyes and letting the tears fall, "He can't hurt her anymore, but his people can and they will." I kept walking, I don't know where I'm going but I know that we need to keep moving to keep warm ourselves.

"So, I had a feeling you might have to kill him, but I honestly didn't think you could." Tyler's voice was low.

"He is Abbie's real dad, he says that he would have protected her, but I fell for that lie already. Abbie doesn't remember it, but he kidnapped her when she was an infant. Mom and my dad got her back, I helped, but." I looked away and kept walking.

"Amy, we will get her, I know this is all scary." Mark said, "trust me, I am scared shitless on what she is going through right now. But Abbie is smart, she is strong, she will be able to survive safely and we will find her."

I nodded my head.

"What the hell is that?" Tyler asked, pointing to a tree with purple paint.

"Dad said to stay away from the purple. He switched it up, purple bad, red good. That way it confused others."  I said moving away from the tree, it felt like it was watching me.
