Chapter 27 "Lets wait and see...¨

Fang was the first one up, again. She stared at the ceiling. A bat hid its nest in a small hole above. It tucked its wings closer to its small, furry body. Fang blew a plume of fire into its den. It squeaked, confusingly ramming into the walls blindly. Its corps fell beside her a few seconds later.

She started at the odd creature. Then rolled back onto her stomach, and heaved her self up. She looked at the others, Cloud was just stirring, and Sightless, Active, and Bone were gone. Geez, maybe she wasn't the only one awake.

Me is bored OwO why doesn't OwO count as a word? What the heck word count?! XD should I keep this here?

She snuck out the cave and looked around. Suddenly, a dragon pinned her down. She whipped around, hissing. The dragon held his talon out to help her up. It was just Active. "Hey, up so early?" He questioned. "Yep, Cloud wont stop snoring," she joked. Active laughed. "I feel ya. Hey! Um, I was gonna go hunting, can you tell the others?" He asked. "Oh, um. Sure. Wait! Um, before you go. Have you seen Sightless, and Bone around? They were gone this morning,"

"O-oh, um. Noooo? Why?" "...I just told you why" "Oh! Pth! Of course! A heh, silly old me...Yeah, silly old me...Anyways! gotta go! Ok? Bye!" He flew off.

Fang watched him leave..."Ahh!" She jumped from the sudden stretch. "There's a dead bat!" Cloud whimpered. Fang rolled her eyes. Her eyes caught on the ocean, then her talons. Her plain, dark greenish-black talons...

You see, Venomwings could change their scale color. Some went of emotion, kinda like Rainwings. Some off choice, they could change them when they wanted to. Venomwings developed this around the age of 5 to 6. Fang still had a year to go.

She taped the water with a talon. She jumped when familiar voices shot nearby. "Get it out! Get it out!" Cloud yelped. "I am! I am!" Widow hissed. She held the creature with two of her long, spider-like legs. She stopped by fang, stumbled back, and threw it far into the sea. "Ah! Now you'll scare away all the fishies!" Cloud hissed.

"Uh-h. Don't worry Cloud," Widow comforted. "The fish love to eat um...Bats." "Wh-What! Ew, gross!" Cloud shuttered. "Mhm, gross," Widow said desperately, staring around where it landed. "Hey um, Fang? Have you seen Sightless, Active, and Bone?" Widow tilted her head. "Well, Active just went off hunting," Fang shrugged. "I haven't seen Sightless or Bone around tho."

Widow tilted her head. "Weird... -" Just then, a voice shouted her name. "Widow! Widow," the dragonet turned around, her eyes widened. "Bone!" She ran towards him and threw her wings around the Bonewing. Fang approached them. "Where have you been?" Widow asked before Fang could.

"Oh! So, I saw all of these Flamewings, so I followed them. And I found this cool cave! And t-there was like this, giant rock! Like, a huge one!" "You mean a bolder?-" Fang questioned "And they went in the rock! I-i mean, arouuunnd the rock," he went on"And there was like this, huge secret den or something! And!-"

"Secret den?!" Cloud squeaked. He ran like a newborn dragonet receiving its meal. "Are you sure you saw this?"Widow asked softly, tilting her head. "Heck yeah!" Bone exclaimed. "Good, cus I'm not wasting my life for nothing," Widow smiled. "Wh-wait what?!" Fang exclaimed. "Were not going in there,"

"Well, as the oldest one here, I give you all permission to skurry on down to this so called, 'secret den'," Widow announced in her "queen" voice. "Yay!" Cloud exclaimed. "Ill go get Scar!" Cloud ran off before anyone could argue. "Shouldn't we at least wait for Active? And we still don't know where Sightless is," Fang pointed out.

"Pth, I'll leave a message in the sand. Don't be such a letdown Fang!" Widow grabed a stick, and wrote down. "Were a mIscIem," "...Were a Mls clem?" Fang read out loud. "It says were on a mission!" Widow hissed.

"Here! It's here!" Bone exclaimed. "Sh, hush. Your gonna get us caught. Geez, your starting to act like Cloud," Widow nudged Bone. Bone started pushing the boulder, but of course, it didn't budge. "Alright, now let a strong dragon try it,¨ Jack pushed Bone acid. Widow sighed and said. ¨I dont think that's gonna work-¨ ¨Pth, you're just saying that because Iḿ part Rainwing.¨ Jack rolled his eyes. ¨Easy,"

He pushed the rock. He hesitated when it didn't do so much as move. ¨Heh, you see. Shes, being difficult¨ He pushed the boulder harder. ¨Animus! Itś enchanted I know it!"

¨Weĺl just sit here, and wait for someone to open it,¨ Bone sighed. ¨Shouldn't we all try?¨ Fang offered. "Nope, If Jacky here couldn't do it, no one can, not even all of us, " Jack sighed. "Ok, Mr.Strong Jack. Let's wait and see..."
