A/N: Happy new year!
Part Fourteen
"Have a nice life."
"God, I'm stuffed," the elder cried out while laying on top of his boyfriend. He was nuzzling against the crook of Jungkook's neck as he felt fingers running through his blond hair, which made him sleepy in the best way possible."Me too," the younger replied before pecking his lover's temple. "But it was totally worth it."
"You really do cook better than me," Jimin admitted almost begrudgingly. "I thought you were joking or just trying to mock my culinary skills."
Jungkook merely chuckled quietly in response. Then, he intertwined their fingers on his own chest, gently playing with the elder's knuckles.
Jimin smiled at the sight. He still couldn't believe they were officially a couple now, that they belonged together. He couldn't believe he was in a relationship in general, considering everything he had been through, but both men felt so at ease. They even considered each other as their homes by now. Although it all happened so fast, it would've been nothing but stupid of them if they had decided against their bond.
Good thing they hadn't.
Instead of running from each other, the two had been courageous. On the one hand, there was Jungkook who had never fallen in love before, let alone with a man, and hadn't thought he'd fit into a relationship in the first place. And then on the other hand, there was Jimin who had suffered trauma and still had had the guts to give in to Jungkook.
Both had chosen to settle down. And neither of them could imagine being any happier at the moment.
"Jungkook?"
"Hm?," the brunet male answered tiredly. His boyfriend had just woken him up from his trance-like state. With a loving smile playing around his lips, he looked down at Jimin who looked like an angel in the fairly dark room. He still didn't believe he deserved him.
Jimin didn't dare to look at his boyfriend as he spoke up, "I don't know whether this is too early or not, or whether this will creep you out and make you run from me, but... I like you. I really do."
Jungkook's heart skipped a beat.
He smiled, softly, almost invisibly, but, hell, if it wasn't the most genuine smile Jimin had ever seen on the younger. "I really like you, too," Jungkook whispered in return, feeling dizzy and lighthearted all of a sudden.
They were both so relieved to have confessed even though they might not have dropped the L-bomb yet. Still, both were as happy as they could get when they brought their lips together for a slow and gentle kiss.
It felt so much better now, after what they had told each other, causing both their hearts to do a flip in their chests. Jimin's full and soft lips moved slightly along Jungkook's while his small hands were creasing his boyfriend's shirt in the meantime. His touch was burning against Jungkook's skin, making the younger's heart rate quicken and his brain disconnect as two breaths became one.
"You really bring out the best of me, Jimin," Jungkook whispered when he lay his forehead against the other's. "Do you know that?"
The blond mutely gave him a soft smile before clashing their lips back together, and just when Jimin was about to initiate a heavy make-out session, Jungkook's phone started ringing and therefore interrupted their moment.
