Part Twenty-Eight
"You're my safe haven."
"I can't believe you're good at literally everything," Jimin complained due to losing the sixth UNO game in a row. There was a cute pout on his face when he threw his remaining cards on the floor, recognizing his defeat. "You could've let me win at least once, you know? To make me feel a little better about myself. Seriously, what kind of a boyfriend are you?"Jungkook chuckled, amused by the other's throwing a tantrum.
"The one that appreciates his very beautiful boyfriend so much he would never lie about being bad at something he's clearly fantastic at," the younger answered in an overly sweet tone before giving the blue-haired an Eskimo kiss. Although he was determined to play the sorehead, Jimin couldn't help but grin like a kid in a candy store instead.
"You're such a sycophant."
"What? Me?," Jungkook replied with his eyes wide open in obviously fake disbelief and placed one hand on his chest for the dramatic effect. "No, I would never try to flatter you."
"No, of course not!," the elder went along with his boyfriend's little play, a cheeky smile playing around his lips as he ran his fingers gently through Jungkook's brown hair. "Say that as much as you want, though. I know you wish for nothing more than to get into my pants as soon as possible."
After giving a ringing laugh, the younger cleared his throat and made clear that wasn't his true intention, "I mean, yeah sure, I wouldn't complain if we took the next step, but I promised we would take it slow and I meant it. I'm serious. We won't do a single thing unless you're ready. I'd never expect you to sleep with me because I want it. We should want it, especially you. As long as you feel uncomfortable or even slightly pressured, I won't make a move on you. That's just not who I am."
Jimin nodded silently. "I know," he whispered then, becoming even softer for the younger. "Because that's the kind of boyfriend you are."
Jungkook saw many emotions clouding the other's eyes right then and there; from hesitation to anticipation to something that looked like desire. Both were sitting cross-legged, their faces still only a few millimeters away, when Jimin suddenly leaned forward to put his arms around the brunet and pressed his lips against Jungkook's for a deep kiss.
Despite the noticeable tension in the air, it was still a fairly unexpected, albeit delightful, action that surprised the younger quite a lot, which is why it took him about two seconds to respond. But when he finally did, Jimin's heart leaped for joy. Although kissing really wasn't anything new to either of them, there was always this firework lighting up their souls whenever they got closer.
This time, though, the sensation seemed to be extraordinarily intense, considering their current state of mind.
It had already been a whole week since Jimin and Jungkook had gotten back together and it had honestly been the greatest time both had ever had in their lives.
Yes, they had already said that before and, yes, they had been incredibly happy back then, too. It just felt much more real than the last time they had been dating. At that time, they hadn't really known what they had been and once the two had finally agreed on being in an actual relationship, they had broken up again.
And we all know how well that had gone, right?
However, this time both men were one hundred percent serious about this. They were an official couple, not only two dudes who made out every once in a while, and their connection got even stronger the more time they spent together. Jungkook had already met Hoseok who was the closest thing Jimin had for a family. Now, the brunet was also resolved to introduce his boyfriend to his beloved aunt even if he hadn't told him about his plan yet.
