Lauren's P.O.V

I headed home quickly wanting to make sure my mom was okay. She struggles with alcohol and pain killers and I always make sure that I get home as quick as I could. She wasn't a horrible alcoholic or anything, she's just broken has been since I can remember. I was the only who she had in this world. I stayed not too far away from Camila so I didn't have far to go to get back home

"Jauregui!" I heard some someone hiss behind me

I knew actually who it was...Austin. I turn around to him coming towards me with two of his mates Justin and Matthew. Here we go, he's going to try and play hard because he's with his friends. I wasn't scared of them in fact I laughed loudly when they started coming towards me

"What the fuck do you want Dorito boy?" I hissed
"I told you this wasn't over." He said smugly

I kept an eye on the three of them because I know that they're cowards who would probably try and attack me from behind

"Is this meant to scare me?" I laughed
"Who the fuck do you think you are telling me to stay away from Camila? I will do what the fuck I want. Geez I could get her back in minutes if I really wanted to. Finally, get what I want all along." He said smugly

With him saying that, my fist clenched at my side, the anger in me building up. He better get out of the way or I will knock him out without even thinking about it.

"Is that what you think? She's not that stupid Austin, she will never go near you again and I will make sure of it." I hissed
"You sure about that?" He laughed
"Yes 100% percent. Camila is worth more than someone like you and she will see that." I said
"What and you're better than her? Does she know what you are really like Lauren because if she did, she wouldn't even look at you." He said
"No I ain't. She is worth than someone like me too. Yes, she knows what I am like and it doesn't seem to bother her because unlike you I don't treat like a piece of shit you are." I hissed

The three of them were inching closer to me, I knew exactly what they were planning, but they won't get as far as they think because they will be on the ground before they even know it. All three of them

"She is pathetic, boring, a virgin, and not really worth anyone's time." He said

With that, my first connected to his face, pushing him hard then making him stumble and groan in pain. Justin and Matthew went to go for me, but before they even could I did the same thing to them making them hit the ground, looking scared like chickens. Austin soon got back to his feet managing to get two punches. One bursting my lip and the other right on my cheek. I hissed a little, the blood running down my lip but there's no way I'm going to make him win this. He should know that from the last time he got a beating from me. I gathered myself together and took one last punch at him, knocking him down to the ground.

"Stay the fuck away from her or I swear to god I will put you in your casket." I hissed walking away from him

I don't know why I was strongly protective of her. Well I do, but let's leave that story for another day. I wiped the blood from my lip looking pissed off and headed home. I took a deep breath, going inside the house with a fake smile on my face. My mom was on the sofa passed out. I sighed, running my hand through my hair. I went over to her and shook her gently.

"Hey my sweet Lauren." She smiled weakly at me
"Hey mom, how are you doing today?" I smiled
"I'm okay. What happened to your face? Please tell me you didn't get into a fight at school sweetie." She said stroking my now swollen cheek
"It wasn't in school mom. It was on my way home." I said
"Why?" She asked sitting up
"I was sticking up for someone. Did you eat already?" I asked knowing she probably hadn't
"A girl?" She asked, a little excited
