Camila's P.O.V

I don't how long I have been sitting, not like anyone has even noticed. I sighed, running my hands through my hair, closing my eyes, and breathing in the fresh air. As I did my phone beeped, a text from Lauren flashing across the screen. What does she want? I thought she would be too busy with Lucy? I opened the text and read it.

Lolo: Hey Camzi, where did you go? Are you okay?
Me: I'm fine.
Lolo: Where are you?
Me: Down by the lake. I needed time to myself.
Lolo: Everything okay? What's wrong?
Me: Nothing, I'm fine. I'll be back soon.
Lolo: You want some company?
Me: No it's okay. I'm sure you have enough company.
Lolo: Is this about Lucy?
Me: No, not at all. I need some me time that's all.

I decided to leave it at that. I put my phone back in my pocket feeling it vibrate again, but decided to ignore it. I leant back in my hands getting back to looking at the view in front of me.

"Camila, you okay?" I heard behind me

Who was that? It was guys voice, one I never recognized. I slowly turned out seeing it was Shawn standing. He had his hands inside his pocket, smiling sweetly at me. I returned the smile.

"Yeah I'm fine." I smiled
"Can I sit?" He asked and I nodded

He came and sat down next to me. He turned to face me looking at me the same way he was when we first met. I never felt as nervous this time around. I studied him for a moment and I'm not gonna lie he was very handsome. I felt myself blush because I was thinking about him that way, glad it was dark enough which mean he wouldn't see me blushing. I thought Lauren was the only one they made me blush, obviously not.

"Thought you and Lauren had something going on? Why is she all over Lucy? That is a dick move of her is it not?" He said

Yes really it was a dick move of her, well except the part it has nothing to do with me since her and I are only "friends."

"No, Lauren and I just friends." I shrugged
"Friends? I seen the two of you kissing earlier, that looked more than friendly." He chuckled
"Honestly there is nothing going on between us. We have kissed a couple of times, but nothing else. I know what she is like...I know the kind of girls she likes and I'm not that type of girl." I said
"She has always been that way, don't think he will she will ever change." Shawn shrugged "Does that mean you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend after all?" He asked sounding hopeful.
"Yes no boyfriend or girlfriend in the picture." I said staring at the water

I'm sure I seen him smile out of the corner of my eye when I said that. A comfortable silence fell between us for a little while. It was a relaxed atmosphere. I decided that I should maybe try having an actual conversation with him and he seemed nice enough. I was not good with small talk, maybe now would be a good time to learn. I turned to face him, crossing my legs, and and resting my chin in my hand. He done the same, making us both laugh. He has a nice laugh and he's very intriguing. Maybe I should get to know him after all.

Shawn and I have been sitting by the lake laughing, chatting, and flirting for the last hour. My phone ran a couple times...it was Lauren calling, but I didn't bother answering it because I was enjoying getting to know Shawn. He was really sweet and funny.
