Lake Party

Camila's P.O.V

The four of pulled up near the lake where the party was. Kehlani was driving because she didn't want to drink tonight. The place was full, there were cars everywhere, a huge bonfire going, and music blaring. I recognized a couple of people from that night in the park. Lauren and Kehlani got out of the car then Demi following after them. Lauren reached for my hand, keeping me close. I was nervous and I found myself not moving from the car.

"Camz come on its only a party." Lauren laughed opening my door

She reached out her hand for me to take, I hesitated for a moment, but I took her hand. She gave me a hand going out of the car dropping my hand as soon as I out.

"Stay close okay?" She said
"I will try. Please do not go and leave me alone. I don't do well with strangers." I said
"Promise." She said wrapping her around my shoulder, pulling me closer to her side

I smiled thankfully at her and we headed toward the crowd of people. Lauren and Kehlani seeming to know everyone here. I found it sweet that Kehlani never dropped Demi's hand for once and she even introduced her as her girlfriend, which made Demi surprise and making her blush.

"Lauren bro where have you been hiding?" Some guy said approaching us and Lauren dropping her hand from my shoulder. Kehlani taking Demi away to walk and to talk to someone else.

"Shawn, nice to see you again buddy." Lauren replied

I notice though that Shawn's attention wasn't on Lauren, but it was on me. He was looking at me harder than he needed, he was making me nervous. Lauren's hand soon wrapped around my waist, pulling me close to her. Shawn's soon took off his attention away from me.

"We'll catch up later." Shawn said nodding and walking away

As soon as Shawn was out of sight, Lauren removed her arm from around my waist.

"You want a drink?" She asked me
"No thank you, I had enough last night." I said
"Okay, well lets go then." She smiled

Lauren took us over to the fire that was going, saying hello to everyone, and introducing me to everyone. They all seemed alright. She sat down and I stood there awkwardly.

"Camz sit down." She laughed
"Sorry." I said blushing and taking a seat next to her, making some of the people look at me which made me a little uncomfortable.

"Guys would you stop staring at her? You're scaring her." She laughed
"Sorry." They mumbled

Thanks for that Lauren, you made me even more embarrassed. I sat in silence, staring at the lake as everyone else around me chatted, drank, and smoked pot. I looked around wondering where my best friend went to. I spotted her with a small group, a red plastic up in her her hand and her body leant against Kehlani as they chatted with the small group they were with. I was surprised with how comfortable she seems with her and that made me smile.

"Since when does Kehlani have a girlfriend?" The guy Mark asked Lauren
"Since a few days ago. She seems to really like her." Lauren smiled
"She must be, in the six years I've known her I don't think she she must've heard her call anyone that, you're lucky if she even remembers that name of who she's with." She laughed
"Who is she?" He added
"Demi...Camila's nest friend." Lauren said
