(Piper's POV)

Once I'd rendered Hellman speechless, I dismissed him from the stand.
"No further questions your honour. I think his silence speaks for itself."
Hellman then skulks back to his seat beside McCullough.
I then speak up again.
"Your honour, the prosecution would like to call to the stand Madison Murphy."
Everyone but Alex looks shocked at this.

The bailiff swears Badison in.
"Do you promise to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God?" He asks her.
"I do." She says.

I approach the stand.

"Miss Murphy, is it true that you conspired with Mr Hellman to get me more time?" I ask her, knowing the answer.

"Yeah Gapman, that's true." She shrugs.

"Uh-huh. So you would say you had a CO in your pocket, like my client?" I ask.

"Yeah but it works both ways. You don't just get a CO in your pocket for nothing. You gotta give 'em something in return. Hellman here, wanted two of my crew to give him a blowjob in exchange for a false statement stating you'd beaten me up so that's what he got. It's all about sex and drugs to them. You deal for 'em, you fuck 'em or both, then you get what you want. I guess your Mrs here knows all about that." She snarks at Alex who glares at her.
She knew Badison just made her case with me worse.

I clench my teeth at that reminder.
"Yes Miss Murphy, thank you for that. Moving on though, you and Mr Hellman were involved in a drug scheme together weren't you?"

"Yeah, we were." She replies.

"And you planted some of those drugs on me didn't you?" I ask. Again, knowing the answer.

"While you were at the hair salon getting the gum I'd stuck in your hair out, yeah."

"So what you're telling me is Mr Hellman and the rest of the former COs on trial here are dirty?" I ask her.

"Damn fucking right I am. All COs are the same. As clean as fucking mud." She states.

"Mind your language inmate Murphy." The judge warns.
Badison simply makes a mocking apologetic face.
"No further questions your honour." I state.

The defence didn't have any questions for Badison because she had nothing to offer them. She also had no deal with them, I got her 3 years off her sentence and she owed me.

As she was led out of court to the bus that would take her back to the airport for her ConAir flight back to prison, she passed Alex and I and managed to get her dig at Alex in,
"You're not so bad after all Gapman, and Vause, fuck you. Oh and ah, good luck trying to get back into your Mrs's good books." She laughs mockingly.
Alex just rolls her eyes and glares at her again.

I also put the two of Badison's crew on the stand who gave Hellman a blowjob. They testified against him and corroborated Badison's story which was helpful. I then put anyone else on the stand who hated him or couldn't stand him at least.
Yep, I even put McCullough on the stand one last time since she apparently 'rescued' Alex from Hellman.

I really wanted to put Hellman away. He was a sexual predator. He was a male chauvinist. He was a misogynist. He was violent. He was dangerous. He was disrespectful and most of all, he could've killed Alex and that alone didn't sit well with me at all even if I wanted to smack the shit out of Alex right about now.

"Finally your honour, I'd like to put forward a motion to sue PolyCon and MCC with Linda Ferguson present today as their representative." I tell the judge.

"On what grounds would you like to sue them Councillor?" She asks me.

"Gross negligence and assault." I tell her firmly.

"Well by all means Councillor, present your case." She tells me.

Due to Alex signing the paperwork I'd drawn up, I was now legally her next of kin and could use anything for evidence so I pulled up her medical records onto the screen for the jury and gantry to see.

"I would now like to bring into evidence my client's medical records. These are outstanding hospital bills my client received after having undergone two surgeries to fix her broken shoulder that was caused by an MCC Correctional Officer." I state.

"Well if her broken shoulder was caused by a CO, why aren't we questioning the CO responsible for the charges you've put against MCC and PolyCon, Councillor?" She asks me.

"Because unfortunately your honour, that CO is no longer with us so I was required to pass blame onto his bosses. Now since his bosses didn't break her shoulder, I can only sue, so that is what I'm doing." I answer.

"Do you have witnesses to back up your claim?" She asks.

I nod,
"I do your honour, 3 to be exact. I was also a witness so I guess you could say 4."

"Alright Councillor, call your first witness." She concedes.

I called Red to the stand first.
"The prosecution calls Galina Reznikov to the stand."

Red was then put on oath. I was informed that she'd been diagnosed with dementia so she may not be able to remember what Piscatella did to her but I could always try.

"Red, could you please tell the jury what happened that night?" I ask her gently.

"I- I- I think he, uh, he tied me up and then I think he uh, he cut off my hair?" She asks in answer. It was a good enough answer and the correct one at that. I didn't want to put her through too much and what she'd said was enough.
I smiled at her and whispered reassuringly to her,
"That's right Red. He did."
Then in a louder voice,
"No further questions your honour."

The defence then piped up.
"Objection! How could Miss Reznikov be a reliable witness? She has early onset dementia!"
I immediately retort,
"Because I was also a witness to the breaking of my client's arm and what Miss Reznikov said is true. Desi Piscatella kidnapped us, tied us up and cut off Miss Reznikov's hair!" I state, annoyed.
"Objection! Testifying!" The defence then state.
"Sustained. Call your next witness Councillor." The judge warns but the jury had still heard what I and Red had to say.

I then called Nicky and Boo to the stand. They corroborated the story.
