(Piper's POV)

"Ugh. It's so unfair that I'm not invited to this thing with you looking like that babe." Alex whines from the doorway of our bedroom where she was once again leaning against the doorframe with folded arms and a pout.
I was in our ensuite applying lipstick, well, more accurately, Alex's bright red lipstick. Yes, we were that couple.
I was also in a very short, very tight little black dress that barely went passed my ass. I was also wearing a veil that attached to my head with a tiara and a pink sash that said "Bride To Be" completed with a pink 'L' learner's permit and black 4 inch heels which only added to the length of my legs. Polly had come by earlier today and shoved them into my hands and demanded I wear them tonight so here I was.
I chuckled.
"Well I'll be back before you know it. Polly's only arranged for us, a few from the firm and one other to come tonight. It's never the same in a club without you though." I admit.

Alex pushes off the doorframe and comes to wrap her arms around me from behind.
"Mmm well make it quick babe because otherwise I'll get images of you grinding against someone else and it'll drive me crazy. Crazier than I already am now that I know what you're wearing." She purrs and nuzzles her nose into my neck, giving it a few pecks and tightening her grip around me.
"Oh, well maybe you'll understand how I've been feeling these past few months." I jibe. Well it was true.
She pulls back a bit but not letting go of me, giving me the side eye.
"Was that necessary?" She asks.
"Hey, it's true." I deadpan.
"So who's this 'one other'? Do I know them?" She asks.
I don't answer because that one other was Zelda and I knew she would hate that.
Her face becomes serious and she lets go of me, turning me and my guilty expression around to face her.
"Who's the other person Piper?" She almost grits as if she already knew my answer. I had a feeling she did anyway.
"zelda" I mumble.
Her eyebrows raise and she folds her arms.
"What was that?" She asks.
Now we looked like a mother getting information out of her misbehaving daughter.
"Zelda." I say again but only slightly louder.
"Gonna need you to enunciate here Pipes. I may look like and have been called Morticia before but prior to popular belief I don't have bat hearing." She quips but still looking for a serious answer from me.
"Zelda alright!? Polly liked her when I introduced her to her so she invited her tonight." I finally admit.
Alex stiffens and looks away, tonguing her cheek, inhaling heavily through her nose.
The little green monster was re-surfacing.
"That bitch." She breathes almost inaudibly but I heard her.
It was my turn to raise my eyebrows.
"Oh come on Al she only invited her because she hit it off with her plus she recognises that I don't have many friends outside of prison." I say to try to placate her.
She sighs.
"Piper. I love you. I really really do but you can be such a naïve dumbass!" She hisses.
My eyebrows go even higher and my eyes widen.
So she elaborates.
"Polly hates me and likes Zelda. Zelda likes you and I won't be there. Think about it Pipes! She's trying to shove me out of the picture with a woman she knows has the hots for you! On your bachelorette party before you real world marry me! Fantastic." She hisses frustratedly and very enviously as she swipes a hand through her mane of dark hair and turns away from me.
I knew she was jealous but her mistrust hurt. I won't even mention what hurt the most the last time she didn't trust me.
"I thought you said you trusted me Alex." I grit.
Her head snaps around to look at me as I gather my stuff and storm to our front door.
"Wait, Pipes, that's not what I meant I do trust you but-" She tries.
"But what?!" I snarl with my hand on the door handle.
She stood there floundering for an answer so I stormed out with a slam of our door.

In the club the music was electric and the beat was thumping, Polly even took us to a lesbian strip joint so there were hot girls dancing in next to nothing and working the poles but I was on a barstool with a full shot of tequila between my fingers, spinning it around. My other hand was in a fist and I was using it to lean my head on. All I could think about was my fight with Alex. All I could ever think about was Alex fucking Vause.
I'd left Polly and the girls on the dance floor. Her and Zelda really did hit it off, they were even dancing together and having a genuinely good time.
Turning back around on my barstool, I quickly downed my tequila and asked for another which was quickly given to be by Alicia. Yes, I'd been on this barstool that long I'd even learned the bartender's name.
