(Alex's POV)
"Of course it's you." I growl once I'd angrily glided to the door to answer it.
When I had Piper in a trance like that, which always led to fantastic sex and me having my way with the woman I love, I despised when anything or anyone would break it. Especially when I'd just won her over from being mad at me.
The two meth-heads back at Litchfield camp found that out the hard way.
I mean, what's a little gentle manipulation? Sorry, persuasion."I'm sorry, did I interrupt something?" Zelda asks awkwardly as she looks from an angrily glaring me in the doorway to a recovering Piper leaning against our island counter.
"I'm going to give you one guess Sherlock." I snap at her and go to stand behind Piper, wrapping my arms around her possessively and begin to plant kisses on her neck, wrapping her robe around her even tighter to cover her up more so Zelda wouldn't get any ideas.
Piper let me continue for a while then said softly,
"Alex, we have company and I made you a cup of coffee before we had that... conversation."
I let go of her reluctantly and smirk at her bashfulness as I go to retrieve the coffee she made for me from the machine.
"Well I hope it's still as hot as you babe." I wink with a cheeky smirk.
She gives me a playfully scolding side eye and subtly nods her head towards Zelda. At that, I carelessly looked over my shoulder at her and shrugged.
"So I'm not allowed to compliment my fiancé now in my own home?" I challenge Piper through a jibe at Zelda.
Piper knew what I was doing.
She knew I was and am jealous of Zelda, less so now though that I'm out and have her all to myself but still jealous since Zelda was still acting like a bloodhound after Piper's soap and honey scent. I was marking my territory so to speak.
She ignores my jibe and asks Zelda,
"Would you like a cup of coffee Zelda? Alex was just making a cup."
As she says this, she doesn't look at me and I knew it was translated to 'do as you're told or so help me there'll be no sex for you tonight'.
"Yes dear." I say sarcastically and flash her a sarcastically playful smile, retrieving another mug from the cupboard.
"Will there be poison in it?" Zelda nervously and jokingly asks.
Good question, I think into myself.
"If you continue to chase after my fiancé, then who knows? Although, I wouldn't exactly class you as worthy of going back to prison for. I hear murder is a life sentence and 5 years for drug trafficking and parole violation was enough thank you. Besides, why would I give you any more ammunition to tear me away from Pipes?" I threaten, not looking at either Piper or Zelda as I continue to make her coffee, seriously considering spitting in it.
"Alex!" Piper snaps.
I just turn to give her an unapologetic side eye.Once Zelda's coffee is made, I turn to give it to her and return to Pipes, wrapping my arms around her and kissing her neck again.
"Someone's marking her territory." Zelda mutters.
I immediately stop kissing Piper's neck and turn to place my chin on her shoulder and glare at Zelda.
"I'm sorry, is there a problem with me showing Piper some affection in our own home? You did interrupt us after all." I ask her challengingly.
Zelda looks from me to Piper so I follow her gaze and Piper is giving her a look as if to say it'd be stupid to test or push me even further.
So Zelda clarifies,
"Piper's engagement ring. You're not wearing one. I just noticed you two have made it official." She says, nodding at Piper's left hand then at mine.
Piper's body relaxes and I go back to victoriously smirking.
Piper chuckles,
"Ooh, I'm buying her one today actually, whatever one she wants."
She turns her head towards mine resting on her shoulder and we lovingly grin at each other, rubbing noses then we kiss for a moment before resting our foreheads on each other and going back to lovingly smiling at each other.
I purr delightedly at her then turn my head back towards Zelda and ask,
"So, Zelda, what do we owe you for this delightful interruption?"
She takes a sip of coffee then sets her mug back down.
"Mm, I'm here to talk to you actually. I wanted to go over forecasts and numbers with you since you're our new investor." She says.Piper then finishes her coffee and puts the mug in the dishwasher after squirming out of my hold.
"Well, while you two do that, I'm going to go get changed for work and I don't suppose you can make it quick Zelda? I was hoping she'd have her ring before we both went to work. I feel bad wearing a proper ring and she still has the ring I put on her in prison, plus, it'll make her look much less available." She asks and gets a dig in that we all understood.
Zelda nods and smiles at her, because of course she does.
"Of course."
Piper smiles in return then turns to go get changed but I stop her.
"Babe wait." I say so she stops and turns to look at me expectantly.
"You don't need to make sure I look less available. I'm out and I have you. All to myself. There's nothing in our way anymore. I promise. And as for the ring you gave me in prison, I like it, it's special to me, probably even more special than any ring you could buy me because that was the ring you gave me on our wedding day. Yes, it was our prison wedding but it was just as real and meant just as much. It was also the day you got set free from the prison I put you in. But if you want to buy me a ring, then by all means, I'll love it just as much." I smile at her and she grins back.
"It was just as special for me too Al."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." She replies softly and we kiss.
Zelda then clears her throat.
"Right. Yes, I agree with Pipes, let's make this quick so I can be her's with a diamond ring on it." I tell Zelda and wink at Piper, sending her on her way to our bedroom to get changed for work with a pointed slap to her gorgeous ass.
She jumps and smirks back at me.
